The people made our stay so special and is the main reason we will spend 4 weeks in September 2025.
The staff were exceptional—always welcoming, friendly, and polite. Their professionalism added to the respectful and warm atmosphere around the resort. It was a pleasure to be greeted with smiles from every staff member we encountered. The food and service across all the restaurants were fantastic, ensuring that every meal was memorable.
A special thank you to Villa Master Jessen for making us feel so welcome and for his continued support throughout our stay. I’d also like to give a shout-out to buggy driver Kailash, whose kindness stood out, and Suren at the villa reception for his professionalism and top-notch service.
The team as a whole made everything seamless, explaining details clearly and ensuring our stay was perfect. Highly recommend this place for anyone looking for a luxurious and relaxing escape!

The hotel is beautiful and the grounds are lovely but in overall their customer service is very poor and as a 5 star hotel they should pay attention better to some details. At check in we were not informed about various important details of the hotel such as activities, kids club, boat house which I was told I would find all in the room but not and when I enquired they didn't have it and was told to check individually in each place. Our rom was very nice but unfortunately right next to a supplies/staff room the door was always open and not a nice view (see photo), sometimes people would be chatting outside our room and one night the door was banging non stop until 4am and kept waking me up. At first I thought was the people in the room close by but then i decided to go outside and check and was the door of the supplies room and the handle didn't seen to work so I piled up some towels in front of the door to keep it closed.
For another reason we had to change rooms and was told someone would come to bring my new keys and help with the move but no one showed up. A staff member that was around managed to open the door of the new room and I moved the stuff myself and later requested the keys.
The heated pool is just about heated a few degrees but still very cold, so i really don't recommend this location during winter months July/August. They should not be claiming they have a heated pool.
Kids club: my kids are well traveled, my oldest is 9 years old and has been to over 45 countries and for the first time ever they did not want to stay in the kids club, they said staff was very strict and would not allow them to play with the games of their choice and refused to call me when they asked to. They were also upset some kids were given some bracelets that could be exchanged for ice cream and they didn't get it. It was a shame because the kids club looked great and they seem to have so many fun things and are so well equipped. We did try going again another day and the kids only agreed to stay as there were different staff and they said they had a nicer experience.
We didn't manage to book any activity on the boat house as they are fully booked 5 days in advance and most things can't be done in that area in the winter months due to strong winds.
They have an online concierge which is a great idea and was helpful at times but gets a bit messy at times.
In overall the hotel is gorgeous, staff is friendly and is all clean and well taken care of and I think has a lot of potential but I think there are better choices in the island for the price.
After Belle Mare we went on to stay in 2 5 star hotels of the Beachcomber chain and the service and overall experience was far superior in every aspect.
Les parties communes sont vraiment magnifiques et bien entretenues.

Nous mettons 4 et non 5 pour plusieurs points :
Les chambres ont sûrement étaient rénovées mais les meubles sont anciens et donc certains tiroirs (dressing et commodes ) s’ouvrent difficilement.
Concernant les services, que ce soit pour nous apporter nos valises ou pour intervenir pour une fuite, compter minimum 45min et encore pour la fuite on a rappelé pour annuler car vraiment trop long.
Quelques points à améliorer mais l’hôtel reste vraiment top
Would recommend strongly though and make sure you bump in to Sweetie in the Buffet restaurant......so attentive,a total charmer and lives up to her name with everyone she meets...a massive asset to the hotel.
Lady on Eggs Hollondaise station also a perfectionist and so lovely and welcoming...a true artist at her job.
Themanager in Blu Sushi a rising star in the organisation....exceptional at his job,a true people person and good luck to him and his fiancee who also works for Constance in HR...
We met lovely people and hope to return and relive our time there again....without gluten free hitches naturally....

Hier stimmt einfach alles-vom Empfang bei der Ankunft (Sandrine und Hannah), die Gästebetreuung (Sandrine und Susanne) und der Aufenthalt-Herzlichkeit und Erholung pur, es ist, wie wenn man wieder zu seiner Familie kommt. Unser Dank gilt insbesondere Shirley, die unser Zimmer immer bestens im Griff hatte, Shooresh vom Strandservice, dem Team vom Lakaze (Mittagessen war immer ein Highlight, insbesondere die Köche mit Ravi und seinem Team, Ramila, Vad, Samleh vom Service), Vinay, Sunjay, Nisha vom Citronelle und nicht zu vergessen unser Shuttle-Fahrer Gilbert, der stets pünktlich und super nett war. Das Golfteam ist auch eine Klasse für sich - nirgendwo auf der Welt haben wir eine bessere Rundum-Sorglos Golfbetreuung bekommen. Wenn auch das Wetter vormittags regnerisch war, war es völlig unproblematisch, später am Tag noch irgendwie eine Startzeit zu erhalten. Stellvertretend für alle möchten wir hier Kavi, Addish, Danish, Chris und Swadesh nennen aber auch alle die Anderen, ohne die unser Golfurlaub nicht mal halb so schön wäre.
Jeder einzelne Mitarbeiter im Team versucht hier alles, um den Aufenthalt so angenehm und unvergesslich wie nur irgend möglich zu machen-und es kommt von Herzen.
Vielen Dank an das ganze Team für zwei wunderschöne Wochen.

Zimmer sauber, direkt am Pool (ruhige Anlage), immer schön dekoriert.
Hotel bietet sehr viel, Glasboat, Schnorcheln etc. inkl.
Preise sind eher hoch (z.B. Cocktails 15Fr.), aber entsprechen der Leistung. Für uns das beste Hotel in dem wir bisher waren.

The rooms are so spacious, chic and clean!
The staff are wonderful, but I’d like to name check Pratisha who looked after us really well. She really gave attention of each and every detail and every request we had was executed efficiently. She was constantly checking in to make sure our stay was perfect and it really was. She is a very dedicated and passionate person.
A special thanks to Ms. Bethanie and Mr. Joseph, who help us to remain fit during our stay.
A special thanks to Mr. Sam who really take care of us at Indigo.
Mr Seetohul and Mrs Pallavee during breakfast at La Citronelle was really helpful.
Dinner at Deer Hunter was fabulous, and hospitality was great.
I will highly recommend Contance Belle Mare Plage
Took 3 hours to obtain room after arrival. We were exhausted from long journey check in was 2pm. Room available at 3 pm.
Airport customs arrival was poorly organized. We were not aware that across the room from massive crowd there was a premium class check in we could use so stood in line for an hour. Our hotel told us that it is often this slow when we called them worried we would miss our arranged transport
Golf course disorganized better communication with guests is needed
Due to rain one day no carts allowed but they ran out of trolleys to pull. We were not told this by staff- had to ask a few times about delay to receive information
Clubs did not get unloaded off shuttle van at golf course the first time Golf carts old and not fully charged GPS didn’t work when we got one - had to get another cart after 9 holes

Super Essen, super freundliche Mitarbeiter.
Schöner Strand.
Hotel resort is very big, very clean and very nice.
The main restaurant is big and they have very big choice, also another (a la carte) restaurants are amazing (ambient, service, food).
The room was very clean, they were coming twice per day to ask us if we need something.
Their spa is incredible, I had the best massage in my life.
They are very friendly and helpful, we met so many nice people. And special thanks to our waiter Ajay, he was making our time there even more funny.

Ab dem zweiten Tag bekamen wir morgens den Cappuccino an den Tisch, sobald wir uns nur hingesetzt hatten.
Wenn es einmal eine Reklamation gab, dann wurde diese sehr freundlich, sachlich und professionell abgearbeitet.
Die Golfplätze sind beide absolut top, und insbesondere das Team vom Links Golf Course ist unglaublich freundlich, schnell und serviceorientiert.
Kleine Abstriche gab es nur beim Zimmer, das insbesondere im Bad und im Bereich der Schränke eine Renovierung vertragen könnte.
P.S.: Wir waren jetzt zum dritten und bestimmt nicht zum letzten Male dort !

You need something you dont even know you need? Fridge to be full of wine, beer, fizz, vodka and redbull, nespresso pods, sprite, cola, tonic, soda, sparking water, kitkats?
Deep and Harish know your next move! Taxi? Buggy? Breakfast or Lunch in the villa? Tour of the island? Doctor?
We took a tour of the island and Harish and Deep even negotiated the rates for us...obviously lower than we'd discussed previously ????
A 5 star place, and 5 star service.
