It's such a beautiful home away from home and very easy to locate using Google maps. The rooms are so spacious, wonderful gardens and a variety of good tasteful foods. Just 1/2km from the trading center in case you need to do some simple shopping.

We spent 2 great nights at Rose's, one before going up the mountain and one on our return. She hs a lovely garden and the rooms are simple but clean with a great shower and hot water on request. In fact nothing was too much trouble for Rose...washing, charging of our car battery, helping us get a simcard and so on...plus great food. We highly recommend staying at Rose's.

Nous avons adoré notre séjour chez Rosie. Nous y avons séjourné avant et après la montée du Mt Elgon cet été. Rosie est une hôte formidable qui fait tout pour que vous vous sentiez bien chez elle. Les chambres sont simples, mais d'un confort plus que suffisant. La nourriture est excellente et les parties communes (jardin, terrasse) sont très agréables. Je recommande sans hésiter !

Sure, the rooms are simple and don’t offer a lot of comfort but what do you expect before hiking in the mountains for a couple of days and sleep on the floor? There is a cold shower yes, but if you want you can take hot water with you in a bucket and then have a hot shower. There’s a solution for every problem. Rose is a great and welcoming host, she has stories to tell and most important she is a good cook, she also offers some local food on request. We asked for the east Ugandan specialty malewa and we got it when we came back from our hike. I would definitely stay there again.

????Rose's Last Chance feels like a homestay in the 80s. Super friendly host but rooms are terribly small and underequipped (even for low standards) and there is no WiFi - just an occasional hotspot. That makes it quite hard to stay there to be honest. But the food provided was rich and yummy except the breakfast, which was very simple.

We’ve just left Rosie’s and it’s been amazing. Rosie was very welcoming and helpful with everything. The food was delicious, fresh and a lot. You can also rent equipment for hiking. If you want a warm bed, shower, beer, helpful and good people around - look no further!
