Das Fairchild House B & B liegt im schicken Lower Garden District in New Orleans. Das 3-Sterne-Hotel bietet elegante Zimmer in einem Haus aus dem Jahr 1841 im neugriechischen Stil. Die Zimmer sind im viktorianischen Stil eingerichtet und verfügen über ein eigenes Bad, kostenloses WLAN, Kabelfernsehen und eine Kaffeemaschine. Einige Zimmer sind außerdem mit Hartholzböden und/oder einem Himmelbett ausgestattet. Es gibt auch eine Suite mit einem Wohnzimmer, einem Mini-Kühlschrank und einem eigenen Balkon. Das kontinentale Frühstück ist im Preis inbegriffen und wird in einem gemütlichen Speisesaal serviert. Das Hotel verfügt außerdem über eine Lounge, einen Garten, einen Innenhof und kostenlose Parkplätze. Haustiere sind nicht erlaubt und das Rauchen ist auf den Veranden, den Balkonen und im Hof gestattet. Die Ankunftszeiten sind von 14:00 bis 22:00 Uhr, aber es ist möglich, eine Vereinbarung zu treffen, falls Sie außerhalb dieser Zeiten anreisen.
When I booked a “bed and breakfast”, I expected a comfortable bed and an impressive breakfast; I got neither. The bed was so hard that neither of us got a good nights sleep. And the breakfast during the week is “not hot” meaning cereal, yogurt, fruit, boiled eggs. On the weekend it wasn’t much better. We ate breakfast elsewhere or just skipped it.
Nice location and we felt safe the entire time. Nice and quiet. Staff was friendly and attentive. Fenced in parking was nice. Lots of restaurants with in walking distance. Recommend Uber to go east into the city. Lots of questionable characters live under the bridge just east of here. The trolley gets crowded quick; coming back on the trolley you had to get on at the first stop on Canal St.
