Tried to do a walk-in on a Monday evening. Front desk lady was mean and horrible. She mentioned that the tables were full and I asked if I could wait for a bar seat. She completely ignored me and attended to the next customer.

Soutzoukakia are not meatballs and definitely include cumin, horiatiki mostly has no vinegar, the olive oil definitely not extra virgin, probably not from Greece (just change the bottle), inside a plate not bowl... all these only 70 dollars plus an edge of saganaki with a lemon inside a net! The moment I saw the price of a Naousa wine bottle...in the land of the wines, so laughed! The music was Fuego in hovoli! Go go Mexican Brothers...

Every thing we ate was from the daily specials except for one of the desserts. All were fabulous. Excellent service and suggestions from our server. Hospitality and service from all of the staff was exceptional. This restaurant is a survivor and still going strong. Very special. Highly recommended!

Very relaxing ambiance, very large restaurant. The stand outs for our experience was the Turkish coffee service and the Kataifi dessert, they were both amazing. The Branzino was simple and delicious. The Melizanosalata had too much dill.

I came here with the image I wouldn't like Mediterranean food as much but this restaurant completely changed my mind. 5 stars for the chef

Great atmosphere and service. Might be a personal preference, but found food was a little under seasoned - artichoke and lamb. But overall quality of food was good.

Open late on Mondays! Excellent food. Caring and attentive staff. Prices are reasonable for quality. Table layouts can very intimate.

Great authentic Greek cuisine with a nice atmosphere in downtown SF. I definitely want to come back and try more dishes plus dessert!
The spanakotiropita was excellent along with octapodaki tou ylorgou, avgolemono soup, and gigantes beans. Tzin spritz gin cocktail was well balanced and enjoyable throughout the meal. My arnisio souvlaki was so enjoyable as a main dish. Highly recommend and a lovely experience.

This is a big space that has fabulous food. A well respected establishment. The food is Mediterranean. They can try accommodate g gluten free , dairy free if you ask nicely.

Given reputation and price meal was just okay. Pork special came out a bit boring and tough. All the appetizers were delicious! Lamb shank was good but not amazing.

Fabulous lunch with great food, service and atmosphere. Tzaziki with fresh bread and chicken souvlaki were delicious. Impeccable, friendly service with attentive free drink refill. Interior with large fireplace with comfortable seating and warm, well lit atmosphere. The great reviews are fully justified, even lunch prices were very fair. Bravo

We go there at least once every 2 weeks food is always great and they actually remember us and make a point to stop at the table to say hi excellent service

A high end experience that doesn't leave you feeling cheated. If you've got hard earned money with reservations about "fine dining", don't hesitate to try Kokkari Estiatorio. The food was decadent. The off-menu lamb tongue was exceptional. Our server Jason was patient, prompt, and knowledgeable; he made recommendations for Greek wine that was on point for my palate preference. The main courses were exceptionally well balanced, and the dessert had me feeling some type of way.

Had always wanted to try the Grilled Branzino and it certainly didn’t disappoint.
It was succulent, not overcooked, crispy on the skin side. The lamb ribs were also really flavorful as well despite having similar simple seasoning. The Galaktoboureko for dessert was simply a great way to end the meal coupled with the Pistachio Ice Cream.
Kokkari definitely feels like a place ideal for larger groups as the menu has a wide variety of large format dishes, so I can’t wait to return should I ever find myself in the city.

ABSOLUTELY incredible. We ordered 5 starter/share plates and everything was perfection. The baked feta & lamb tongue were my favorite. Service was impeccable

Amazing dinner, great service and overall gorgeous ambiance. Octopus and pork belly were so flavorful and tender. Literally can’t go wrong with anything on the menu! Look forward to returning

C'étais la première fois que nous avons mangé chez Kokkari Estiatorio San Francisco. On aime bien leur cuisine grecque. Super délicieuse.
