Das Hotel befindet sich im Herzen des Touristenkomplexes von Portomaso, dem großen Stolz Maltas. Ein wunderschöner, geschlossener Jachthafen, Geschäfte, Restaurants... Das Hotel ist ein luxuriöser Ort, der traditionellen Komfort mit modernem Design verbindet. Die Zimmer bieten von ihren Terrassen aus einen herrlichen Ausblick. Die Ausstattung ist beeindruckend: drei von Bäumen gesäumte Außenpools, zwei Kinderpools, ein Hallenbad, ein privater Strandclub mit zahlreichen Wassersportaktivitäten, ein Fitnesscenter (Fitnessstudio, Behandlungen, Saunen...), Golf, Klettern oder Reiten. Zahlreiche mediterrane Restaurants, Grills und vor allem das ausgezeichnete Royal Thai Blue Elephant, das für seine orientalische Küche sehr bekannt ist. Auch die Bottega del Vino (italienische Spezialitäten) ist sehr zu empfehlen.

We were impressed with the service from the moment we arrived on our check-out day.
We had a very comfortable stay. We very much enjoyed our stay. We especially liked using the attractive hotel facilities.

Positive points - Staff are lovely, good facilities, great selection of restaurants, good gym and spa. Nice pool and pool attendants. The food is great and service excellent. Good selection of food at breakfast. Excellent gym and spa. Lovely employees. Well trained and very friendly. Excellent customer service.
Negative points - 2 Ice machines nearest our room were broken during the whole week. Asked reception to fix it on first day. Nothing done. The hotel is badly sound proofed so it’s super noisy. Our room was above the gym so banging techno and weights crashing from 7am onwards. Lovely. Plus late night events with loud music until 1am. Fine for the corporate clients but not very relaxing for everyone else.
The rooms need a make over as there is a lot of wear and tear. Mould in the bathroom, broken soap dish in the shower, ripped leather headboard and scuffed and chipped furniture. Poor attention to detail
Also no late check out available despite asking a week early.
Last point and the worst one is the hotel asks for a pre-authorisation on your card. Fairly standard in all hotels. But then asks for a deposit. I put down £500 for the week as their usual deposit is €150 per person per night. That’s crazy as it’s more than the cost of the whole holiday. So when I went over my deposit amount I was sent a very patronising letter saying I had exceeded my credit limit. Rude and disrespectful towards the guests.
In summary it’s a nice hotel but small details really let this place down and do not make this a 5 star hotel experience.
Thank you for your review. We thank you for your kind comments regarding the hospitality of our team members, our leisure facilities, and our food options at breakfast and dinner, though of course we are disappointed to have fallen short of your expectations in some ways during your stay.
We appreciate that, with the high degree of usage during the busy summer season when the hotel is full for an extended time, our rooms and public areas suffer a degree of wear. While we clean all the property daily, proper maintenance and refurbishment will be carried out in the quieter seasons when the occupancy is lower - we are preparing to start this in the coming days.
As the hotel was full during your stay, we are sorry not to have been able to grant you a late check out - as you can imagine, all our rooms are in demand during the high season and we needed to prepare your room for the subsequent guest.
We are also disappointed that you were disturbed by noise from our gym and from the client events which occasionally take place during the summer - we shall do our best to allocate a quieter room when you stay with us again, where you will be undisturbed.
Finally, we appreciate the inconvenience of having to return to our Front Desk to provide a second pre-authorisation. We have also reviewed the wording of the letter with which we invite guests to call at the Desk to do this, and we are sorry that it sounded patronising to you - our intention is simply to notify our guests when their credit limit has expired in order that they may renew it and continue enjoying the benefit of charging their meals and extras to their rooms.
