Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Standort am Meer, der Freundlichkeit des Personals. Einzige Kritik: Die Dusche war meist kalt.

Hotel ohne viel Schnick Schnack aber in toller Lage für individuelle Ausflüge.

Cafe need s revamping does not come up to hotel standards

Ein Hotel direkt an einer kleinen Bucht. Keine Bettenburgen in der Nähe. Die Partymeile ist glücklicherweise an anderen Orten. Das Hotel ist ein angenehmer Ausgangspunkt. Alle Zimmer mit Balkon. Die malerische San Pawl's Kapelle direkt gegenüber dem Gillirue. Gute Restaurantauswahl in der Nähe. Promenaden in beide Richtungen. Vor Ort liegt die Hornblower, mit der man eine Schiffstour machen kann, und mit dem Bus kann man die ganze Insel erkunden. Man blickt auch auf den Wignacourt Wehrturm. Einige Kilometer weiter in der nächsten Bucht kann man einen steinzeitlichen Hügel ersteigen auf dem Xemxija Heritage Hill Walk.

Zdecydowanie miejsce nie polecam , bardzo głośne ulica nie ma mowy spać przy otwartych oknach w trakcie mojego pobytu nagrywano sceny do filmu , personel hotelu ograniczał poruszanie się po obiekcie , goście wchodzili w kadry kamer , nikt nie dbał o jakość pobytu gościom którzy przebywali ma wakacjach czułam się jak intruz ,w mojej rezerwacji miałam obiadokolacje w formie bufetu , co wieczór wręczano nam kartę z menu która była krótka codziennie to samo, za wodę do kolacji kazano płacić ,w łazienkach grzyb na ścianach , brak mebli które umożliwiały by rozpakowanie odzieży , nie polecę nikomu tego hotelu ,miejsce do którego die nie chce wrócić

Overall a great place to stay

Hotel was lovely friendly staff, amenities were good. Staff cleaned every morning.
Would highly recommend coming to stay.
Had access to the pool breakfast was great.

The coffee shop is a good place but a bit too expensive.

Beds are 2 singles pushed together. Nice rooms but getting dated. Amazing sea views. It says parking but it's on street parking. Lovely young receptionist the old one needs a broom stick and lessons in niceness and some happy pills! Well worth stopping though. All other staff from cleaners to waitresses are fantastic

Altes, heruntergekommenes Hotel. Alter Fahrstuhl. Flure dunkel und unfreundlich. Zimmer in einem katastrophalen Zustand aus den vermutlich 70er Jahren. Altes Kiefernholz mit Schrammen. Fugen im Bad verschimmelt. Wasserdruck minimal und maximal lauwarmes Wasser in der Dusche. Renovierung der Räume dringend erforderlich. Viel zu teuer für den Zustand der Zimmer.

Unfreundliches Personal beim Frühstück. Auswahl okay.

Von außen gut erhaltenes Hotel in sehr guter Lage direkt am Wasser. Das Restaurant ist hochwertig mit sehr gutem Service.

Love this place ,very welcoming, spotless inside and out ,staff are extremely friendly and helpful,
Food is good and views are amazing

Loved this hotel, it was located in the harbour from a short pleasant walk to the main eating and drinking places, the rooms are of a good size and bathroom with walk in shower, restaurant on site with some very tasty food, Goran in the restaurant is very tentive and a funny guy. At the front is a cafe serving drinks cakes coffees etc. The staff are all friendly. There is a bus stop outside you can go to all towns for 2 euro per person, the tickets last 2 hrs.

Lovely hotel second time in staying, it is right on the harbour, the bus stop is a two minute walk one return from a long day, to get to bus to go out of the day is about 10 mins which you can get bus for Valletta and mdina, but I believe that most bus stop there for over places to visit,

A prima vista l’hotel sembra “vecchiotto”, un po’ anni ‘70 nel l’ingresso e alla reception. Le camere non sono grandi, arredamenti in legno datati, ci sono cassetti a disposizione nel comò/scrivania e un capiente armadio con molti attaccapanni a disposizione. Il bagno è stato rinnovato recentemente (stanza 512) , unica pecca la scarsa pressione della doccia. Le camere fronte mare si affacciano sulla bella e tranquilla baia di St. Paul, soprattutto la calma e il silenzio di notte non sono così scontate a Malta. In corridoio un dispenser fornisce acqua fresca e calda gratis, una comoda brocca con chiusura è presente in ogni camera. Letti comodi e materassi solidi, scelta di cuscini tra morbidi e rigidi. Non ci è piaciuta Malta ma se dovessimo tornare, torneremmo al Gillieru hotel

Cijena više nego prihvatljiva.
Sobe uredne i čiste.
Osoblje je veoma simpatično.
Posebno bih pohvalila gospođu Aleksandru na recepciji.Jako je ljubazna,susretljiva i prijateljski raspoložena.Objasnila nam je sve u detalje gdje da odemo na izlete,kako da maksimalno iskoristimo dan.Predivna osoba.

We have spent a wonderful weekend holiday here. The room 116 was clean and nice. The view from the hotel is beautiful. The staff of the hotel is very kind and friendly. Thank you for this fantastic holiday.

Przyjemne miejsce i wszędzie blisko

Eigentlich ein schönes Hotel in toller Lage. Zimmer sind halt leider sehr abgewohnt.
Die Sauberkeit der Zimmer war im Rahmen des noch Möglichen okay.

Fantastic sea view hotel. Great rooms, lovely staff and the best fish restaurant of Malta. Will definitely be coming back here when in Malta.

Stayed only 1 night but got bitten by bedbugs in clusters across my bodies, they showed up about 2 hours after I check out. It was the worst itching that lasted over a week. For 5 nights after my stay here I woke up in the middle of sleep from burning itchiness. Gave me the utmost paranoia about bringing it back home. Should have saw the red flags with the many wooden furnitures that looked old and unclean and the blanket being folded up in the dusty cupboard. Nice view and location but this tainted the entire Malta trip.

Also grundsätzlich ein Reinfall. Da lässt auch ein günstiger Preis nichts besser sein. Das Frühstücksbuffet ist immer daß gleiche, Null besonders oder tolles. Die Substanz ist in die Jahre gekommen und nicht optisch ansprechend. Die Lage mag toll sein, aber die Tauchschule im Hinterhof hat ab 6 Uhr die Fähigkeit die Müllabfuhr die um 5 Uhr kommt von der Lautstärke zu ersetzen. Das einzig gute im Zimmer war der TV und das Recht stabile w Lan. Sonst kann ich diesem Objekt nichts positives abgewinnen.

Dont be fooled by the four stars or the advertised photos, this hotel falls short on many aspects. Customer service is poor, the rooms are a disgrace , the dining is basic.

The dining room they show in advertising is not where guests dine as that is now a separate venue, you can dine there so long as pay in full less 10% but we tried it and had to send food back ! Clearly they have a cook in the kitchen who can adequatly cope with the simple food for the half board guest which despite having to sit outside of the resturant was quite good but if you are advertising yourself as a fine dining establishment inside you do need to employ a Chef to do the food.

On arrival we were given room 515 which we had seen on a you tube video from 2014 and must be one of the four worst rooms in the hotel (this despite having booked a supior room upgrade from holiday company) We refused to stay in it and we were moved to a restricted view room 212 which was better than nothing as hotel was apparently fully booked.

I say better than nothing so long as you dont mind black mould on the walls, ceiling and in the bathroom, the filthest air con unit i have ever seen, and like a collection of worn out old pine furniture from the 1980s, a wardrobe with four hangers,thread bare towels a smelly toilet, cracked floor and ceiling tiles and a balcony that when you sit out upon the child size chairs if we didnt choke on the smoke from the chain smokers on the adjacent balcony we had to look straight up the sun lotioned posteriors of those lazing on the sun beds opposite.

And so to breakfast, which was the same daily. A meger buffet offering and some rock hard crossionts (some with jam with the option of a fly or two on top) toast and jam, The full english option was served luke warm and slopped on your plate by a bored staff member.

Tea or coffee is available (without saucers for some reason) and if you would like a mug get down at 7am because i think they only have 10 or so in the hotel which is a shame because the drinks vending machines seem to be set to mug quanties so if you are only left with the sauceless cup option it dispenses half your drink over your hand and floor.

You are allowed to enter the holy sanctuary of the resturant in the morning but not the inner sanctum ,the place which on their advertising they show guests beining served from a sumptious breakfast buffet by smiling welcoming staff (and one of the many reasons i was misled into booking this hotel) No you get to sit in the annex which is ok i suppose, the tables are at least cleaner than outside and there are far less flys to bother you.

Needless to say i dont think we shall ever return, four nights was enough to experience everything this hotel has to offer.

I dont really understand many of the glowing reviews of this place like I also dont understand how somewhere like this can get 4 stars but i guess we are all different and some have lower standards and expectations than others.

Tolle Aussicht direkt am Hafen.Nette Rezeption.Die Zimmer und die Flure sind sehr enttäuschend und entsprachen nicht den gebuchten/Bildern.Sehr runter gewirtschaftetes und Renovierungsbedürftiges Zimmer! Zimmerreinigung fand kaum statt, innerhalb von einer Woche kein auswechseln der Handtücher( alt, verschlissen und verfärbt)kein Wechsel des Geschirrs. Matratzen durchgelegen, Kuhle in der Mitte.Bettlaken fleckig, kaputt und Gummiband alt,sodass das Laken keinen Halt hatte,ab ging und man täglich auf einem Knäuel Laken lag... Klimaanlage nicht regulierbar Flure rochen feucht und muffig, hellhörig. Preis Leistung stimmt null. Frühstück sehr bescheiden,keine Qualität der Produkte, jeden Tag das gleiche...Am enttäuschenden war die gebuchte Halbpension.Es gab eine Kooperation mit dem angeschlossenen Restaurant.Das Abendessen war jeden Tag gleich und vorgegeben.Aus einer Karte konnte man lediglich 3/4 Dinge auswählen (und für Alleinreisende nicht alles da für 2 Personen). Zur Wahl standen täglich 3 Salate,3 Nudelgerichte,3 Pizzas oder 3 Burger mit Pommes...nichts Frisches, kein Gemüse, Dessert...nur Fast food welches man im Urlaub, mit mediterraner Küche nicht essen möchte.Auch wenn die Qualität gut war,so ass ich eine Woche lang die gleichen Nudeln,den gleichen Salat... aufgrund des Wechsels in der Küche schmeckten die Gerichte täglich anders/ schlechter, insgesamt unverschämt bei Halbpension,auch wurde die Karte nicht wie angekündigt gewechselt.Drin sitzen durfte man am Abend als Hotelbesucher nicht, nur schwitzend auf der Terrasse mit 2 Meter TV und Sportkanal vor der Nase.Der Service sehr nett und bemüht,aber die Essensbestellung dauert ewig obwohl man größtenteils alleine sass.. Preise der Getränke gut.
Halbpension verschwendets Geld! Dann lieber ins Restaurant.
Insgesamt zu teuer für den Preis und die Leistung, gerade als Alleinreisender zahlt man viel mehr und bekommt die schlechtesten Zimmer ....
