Schönes und gut ausgestattetes Hotel. Personal sehr freundlich. Der Dachpool und das Essen sind hervorragend

L'hôtel est en travaux et nous avons dû changer de chambre à cause du bruit et la nouvelle était moins spacieuse.
Le service housekeeping pas au top non plus.
Le plus,c'est la gentillesse du personnel!!

When me and my wife first got here we were amazed by the beautiful looking lobby.
Everything about the hotel was looking awesome.
When we got to our room it was kind of depressing because there was no real window and no daylight at all (We chose the cheapest room there was).
After 1 night in that room, I decided it was time for an upgrade to a prettier room with more light.
The very kind team at the front desk in the lobby told us about our options and we decided for a room with a balcony and seeview (highly recommended).
The room we moved to was very nice. Bigger, more comfortable and most importantly: there was daylight and a balcony!!
The people at the reception even gave us a discount on the upgrade :)
But besides the new beautiful room, the great service and a very friendly team made our stay in the Solana Hotel & Spa unforgettable and very enjoyable.
There was the option to book a boat tour at the reception of the hotel which we would definitely recommend as well (we chose the “northern luxury cruise”).
Sadly we didn’t have enough time to really enjoy every pool, massage and sauna the hotel offered because there was so much else to do.
To sum everything up: We had a great time in and around the hotel, and the staff was very friendly and kind, which I’m very grateful for.
I would definitely recommend coming here if you’d like to visit Malta and I hope to come back here again soon.
Besides that I definitely recommend investing a little more money and going with a room with a balcony. It’s definitely worth it!

Good hotel in a charming city.

Très bon hôtel, service au top ! Un peu déçu des lits car les matelas sont séparés mais mis à part ça tout est correct.
L’hôtel est situé loin du centre ville mais la vue sur la mer qu’elle donne vaut le coup.

Good, but there was no cutlery in the room. Opposite the balcony and your windows another building is being built. At 7 am the builders start working and making noise.

L'hôtel est propre et beau,équipé de deux belles piscines dont une sur le toit offrant une belle vue, et une deuxième intérieure et chauffée. Un spa est disponible avec plusieurs massages proposés qui sont payants mais l'accès au jacuzzi est inclu pour les hôtes avec un système de réservation préalable qui reste flou, au vu du prix je trouve malheureusement l'offre et les modalités d'accès limitées et c'est dommage. le petit dejeuner est riche mais il est a base de produits industriels et bas de gamme, c'est un peu l'usine, et enfin dernier point, j'ai demandé a un employé si le poulet etait halal il m'a affirmé que la moitié de la charcuterie l'est en me les montrant mais un collègue l'a corrigé en me disant que c'est complètement faux, j'ai bien apprécié la franchise du second mais la réaction par l mensonge du premier m'a reffroidie ainsi que son manque d'éthique, l'hotel est très bruyant, musique et discussion a hute voix et claquement des portes a n'importe quelle heue de la nuit, l'hotel est bien desservi par les bus mais la pente et les petits trottoirs de la rue a rendu l'expérience difficile. Je ne recommande pas cet hôtel, pour le meme prix il y a bien mieux

Avoid this place as much as you can!!!Customer service of the hotel is just terrible - dont pay them even 1€ - its too much for their service

Nice spacious room with a lovely view of the Gozo island and the Melieha bay.

We booked a long weekend, and Melieha, a little far away from the capital, is indeed less busy, and perfect for walkers like us.

It is a 20min walk to the seashore up north, through a winding road, narrow pavement, but very doable. Many people alternatively take the local bus which is regular, and very civilised too, but we decided to walk.

Melieha cathedral, visible from our room windows, and also when you walk, stands majestically at the highest point of Melieha, and has bars all around it, and from the hotel is a 10min walk.

Staff is friendly, available, and effective, made us feel welcome, provided all that we needed throughout, low season indeed, but well managed at early/mid October 2023 when we stayed!

Yes strange how at breakfast you get to see how full the hotel is, as you don't get to see all those guests about when you are in lobby and social hotel areas at other times. Coffee machines at times needed replenishing with milk coffee etc but in general it all worked well for the busy times we'd seen.

Two restaurants as well, the al-a-carte Tosca, and the main buffet, where breakfast is held, and also where most half-board guests choose to have their included dinner.

We chose our half board dinner meal at Tosca, the other restaurant, instead of main buffet restaurant. For this we needed to book in advance, and depends on availability.

Breakfast is varied, and complete, full English breakfast, porridges, continental, and cereal, yogurts, great variety of fresh fruits, choices for every person.

Tosca dinner was refined, a three course meal, choices for starter, mains, and pudding, and a VIP treatment - loved it!

The fact this hotel a little far from the capital Valletta, was another nice detail, but of course, an opinion and depends on own values and preferences, we like to walk, and less crowded more personalised experiences.

Melieha area is much quieter than Valletta, no comparison.

We went to the capital, 30min on uber, or 45by bus which is regular.

Valletta is buzzying with people, kiosks and coffee shops everyhere, noisy, lively, very touristic! Uber, 30min, circa EUR35 - also the option to take the bus is interesting, could have been an experience, but not one we'd gone for then.

Hotel facilities also nice, rooftop pool with beach towells, bathrobes, sauna (i didn't go), rooftop bar by the pool, gym, very complete. The rooftop pool area has a wonderful view, and the pool bar offers a happy hour 2cocktails for the price of one (at least at the time mid Oct-23 Fri to Mon 4 days when I was there)

Would definitely recommend Solana! A great choice of a stay! Thank you!!!

Great hotel in the heart of a Maltese northern town, Melliehia. Accessibility for many bus routes. Roof top deck with a great view of the bay

We stayed at the Solana Hotel between 15-20 October 2023.It was a great experience, starting from the first day. For my birthday I found a bottle of wine in the room. For objective reasons I requested a room change. It was elegantly solved and I received another bottle of wine as a gift, with apologies. The hotel is clean, has various facilities, the staff is qualified and very eager to solve any problems. Very rich breakfast for all tastes. The place for breakfast is very clean and it's good that there is a terrace overlooking the sea. The reception is great, tourists can spend time waiting for check-in or after check-out. We had a great time and if we come back to Mellieha, we will come to Solana :-)

Très bien même si malgré eux des travaux sont effectués juste à côté ce qui occasionne une gêne le matin. La vue des chambre n'est pas incroyable mais le rooftop et sublime et l'hôtel très beau avec la gratuité du spa en sous sol. Très bien!

Not bad, but we had issue with ac. Staff acted very slow. I had to ask them more than 5 times about ac. Was too hot for sleeping. So I wouldn't book this hotel again. There is much better places for better price.

Loved the refurbed version of this great hotel. Location is ideal for getting around.
We'd definitely come back.

A decent hotel with nice rooms. However it fails living up to its self-claimed standard when talking about breakfast.

If an expensive place praises itself for its excellent breakfast, expectations are high. Reality, however, is different. Half of the tables are reserved for groups that don't appear, reducing available space to a daily quest in finding a slot. Coffe is only available at one slow brewing machine...resulting in large lines. The second machine doesn't work, and even after complaining nothing happend. Coffee cups seem to be a rare object, there aren't enough and hence never available.

Notice that the building is being extended and, by October 2023 construction work is going on.

Very good sea view and country view

Super hôtel avec une équipe souriante, très agréable et aux petits soins pour voir rendre le séjour plus sympa. Un service blanchisserie top, idem pour les massages et une piscine en toiture II vous offre une super vue.
La restauration était très bien aussi avec de bons petit déjeuners et des repas variés le soir.

Siamo arrivati in questa struttura e il personale ci ha accolto con il sorriso e ci ha fatto sentire subito a nostro agio.
Le camere sono spaziose e con tutti i confort necessari per una vacanza, soprattutto la cucina in camera é stata a noi molto comoda, per chi come me ha figli piccoli e preferisce farli mangiare prima e cose semplici, né vale.
Ci siamo spostati all'ultimo piano nel pomeriggio e siamo rimasti senza fiato, piscine con vista Malta molto bella.
In serata il personale della reception mi ha aiutato a ritrovare il cellulare e devo ringraziare tantissimo Bianka per la pazienza, l'empatia, la gentilezza e la disponibilità.
Noi ci siamo trovati molto molto bene, lo super consigliamo! Grazie Claudia

Staff were lovely so helpful and friendly. Room was spotless, hotel in general spotless, rooftop terrace was amazing. Food was fantastic. We will return. Best hotel weve stayed in for years well done Solana Team

Bonne chambre mais avec les travaux qui débutent a 7h c'est moins sympa... On entend tout ce qu'il se passe autour de soit, le personnel de l'accueil est très accueillant mais la plupart de ceux qui travaillent dans les restaurants, je les trouve pas serviable et très moyennement aimable c'est dommage pour un hôtel avec une super vue du 7eme étage avec la piscine en rooftop!

Csak egy kávéra ugrottunk be. Nagyon hangulatos hely. A croissant is isteni.

Sve je na vrhunskom nivou. Nekoliko bazena, hrana, usluge. Lokacija je odlična.

Location of Solana hotel and spa is good reachable to Meliha beach, Ghadira Bay. Staff is very welcoming with big smile and make you feel at home. Danilyn helped us to ho through our booked room also showed us available options.
Room service is quick too. It has 2 swimming pools, and 3 restaurants. Plenty of options to make your stay relaxed and enjoyable. Will recommend.
