The staff was very nice and helpful.
Location is not very good but if you want some quiet time to relax it's perfect.
The restaurant is overpriced, to my opinion.
In general, it was a nice and relaxing stay.
It was nice, but I would say a little over rated and expensive for the amenities.
Will note the spa as expensive as it was , was great we loved our massages.

The main areas of the hotel are nice but the rooms are dated and rundown. In one hour, we lost power 5 times and on our final night, there was no water for half hour.
The TVs in the rooms are awful - slow, u responsive, just bad.
Outside of that, the service really needs to be improved - we went to the restaurant to request a set of utensils TWO NIGHTS and even though we were in the restaurant they didn't hand us the utensils but said they'll send someone up. Twenty minutes later, nothing. Both times we had to go back to the restaurant to ask again because there are no phones in the room, so you can't call anyone.
We ordered pickup from the restaurant one night - we literally went to the restaurant to order and pick up the food then returned the dishes to the restaurant. Three items (one vegetarian starter, a falafel sandwich and a chicken sandwich) cost 1500 baht and, on top of that, they slapped a 10% service charge (even though we did all the work) and another 8% tax. Absolutely insane.
The food was OK but the whole experience was frustrating and it leaves the guests feeling gouged.
They need to do better as a 4-star resort so until they adjust their food prices and the subpar service, I would not recommend.
Pros: Some of the staff is good at Lanna and the pool is really nice.
Cons: Where to even begin:
The hotel: the hotel is for the most part aesthetically pleasing; which is what drew us to the hotel. However, we had a few unpleasant experience which led to my rating.
1) the hotel left us stranded!! On our first full day in a Koh Samui we weren’t yet familiar with the area. The hotel has a shuttle that runs until 7pm. They don’t charger you to go to 7/11 or their sister property The CHI. They dropped us off at The Chi and told us to contact them when we were ready to get picked up. We contacted them and they said to get a taxi to return to the hotel. No explanation as why the shuttle isn’t available, just get a taxi. We didn’t even know how to contact a taxi or where we were. When we got back to the hotel I was fuming. I had an exchange of words with a male at the front desk. They made no effort to resolve the situation by compensating us for the taxi. Just told me a story about how the driver had an emergency and had to go home. Why didn’t wasn’t that the first thing you mentioned when I called for a transfer back?!? Why wait for us to get back to the property. I don’t believe their story.
2)the aircon in the room wasn’t working properly. When we checked in on February 8th at 21:45 and the room was 27 degrees. The hotel has a remote controller to adjust the temperature. We used the controller to put the temp to 18 however it stayed at 27. If it wasn’t for the room fan sleeping would have been nightmare. The next day when we woke up I went to the front desk to complain. They sent maintenance to our room to “fix it” unfortunately, they came when we were at breakfast. We waited for hours; however, no change. My husband check the temperature inside and it said 28 degrees (image attached).
The room temperature would ping pong from 27 to 25. We would have checked out of Lanna if there was any other nice hotels available. I went back to front desk to complain and the claimed the number (27) on the AC was incorrect. The number (18) on the remote controller was correct. If that was the case what did maintenance come and fix? Also, the room was hot!!
We stayed at the property 8 days and the temperature started to drop on day 3. Completely unacceptable not to do anything of value to resolve the issue.
Security: the hotel has 24 hour front desk and security cameras. However, they don’t actually have any security guards. One night when front desk closed the hotel notified us that there would be a security guard present. Maybe nothing ever happens here; however, it would have been more comforting to know they have a security presence. What is stopping a random person from entering the hotel property? Also, the main door doesn’t have a peephole. So whenever someone is at the door, you can’t see who it is before opening.
I hate liars and bad customer service. We will never return to Lanna Samui.
Le restaurant aéré, très sympa et pas bruyant.
Positif : Espace et confort des chambres, piscine
Négatif : Excentré, accueil froid, limite aimable, petit dej manque de variété
It has a great pool good kids pool attached to main pool and can do laps if you want to in main pool.
The breakfasts are good continental and order full breakfast off menu.
It is a good location walking distance to Bangrack Beach but if you are an older person I would not walk it at night footpaths are non existent and traffic can be a bit dangerous
It is a little out of the way but we liked the quietness of its location.
It would have got a 10/10 from me except the bed was like sleeping on a plank or a futon very firm to hard .
But apart from that I would stay here again so come but I think like most places in the world it won't be quiet and relaxing for long.
לא היה להם חדר עם שתי מיטות כמו שרצינו, (מטיילת עם אבא שלי) אבל הספה הייתה ממש אחלה כמיטה נוספת.
Personnel sympathique mais peu formé pour un 4 étoiles, le minimum est fait...
Nous avons des cafards dans la chambre, "nettoyée" chaque jour assez brièvement, nous restons avec les tasses et assietes du déjeuner pris le matin sur la terrasse jusqu'au lendemain après midi sans débarrassage et ne nettoient pas la table.
Petit déjeuné inclus jusqu'à 11h : à 11h05 min, vous payez 820bth 2 cafés et 2 chocolat.
Service nettoyage de linge exorbitant : 2165bath comparé à 240 bath dans un service extérieur !!
La situation de l'hôtel n'a rien d'extraordinaire et difficile à trouver.
Pour plus de 110eur la nuit il y a tellement d'autres hôtels bien meilleurs ! Nous ne reviendrons pas ..
