FOUR SEASONS RESORT SEYCHELLES * * * * *

I did not like the location of the resort being on the less inhabited more hilly side of the island. The roads were horrendous in narrowness and hills are like a roller coaster. The steep incline in roads is present inside the resort as well. It was a good leg workout walking through the resort. I prefer to walk on vacations instead of using the frequently available golf carts.
Again, with food. We eat a lot of room service. The comfort, size of our suite /villa and the view is most important, but good food, and customer service seals the deal. This resort was missing the mark on food. Room service dinners were good, but nearly every menu item for breakfast was horrid. Pancakes were from premade frozen box items. French toast was soggy and made from what looked like french bread. I do not even think eggs were used or present in the resort because the eggs I ordered for one meal were powdered. If breakfast is not available, a decent meal cannot be had until lunch. They did have 24 hour room service menu and restaurants. But the breakfast at the restaurant was buffet, and I hate buffet.
Usually at island resorts, fruit is readily available. However at FS Seychelles we got fruit on arrival, but none after that. The only fruit we found around the resort were green apples and pears in the fitness center. This was disappointing.
It was impossible to get outside food because of the steep terrain outside of the resort. No good restaurants or grocery stores were near the resort. The resort did not even have a store that sold candy or chips. The limited items in the mini bar were of course ridiculously priced.
Nothing to do with FS but I did have a problem with seeing stray dogs. They did not look like they were starving or being abused, which is good and I did not see puppies, which is also good. The locals seemed to live in symbiosis with the dogs. Some dogs may have had fleas. It does always sadden me to see homeless animals. If you are in the Seychelles, please donate to the SSPCA. I found a bin at the airport. If you are a vet and have the time to donate your time, please go and spay/ neuter the dogs/ cats and treat their fleas.
There is a new FS scheduled to open in Seychelles soon. I hope that it has a better location and does not have the same food issues.
