Meinungen GRAND HOTEL CENTRAL Barcelona

We are a family of four and booked two rooms. We were informed a couple days prior to checking in that they were “reopening” our check in day and most services were available. When we checked in (with no line) they had 6 people working the front desk and it took 30 or more minutes to get us complete and they said our room wasn’t ready yet. It was 230pm and 3pm was check in time, but it was the first day they reopened so I don’t know how they couldn’t be ready! We went to our rooms and they were small but fine. When we took showers later that evening we noticed they transitioned from extremely hot to cold and back and forth. It was so hot that I worried my younger daughter would burn herself. So I called and the nice front desk personnel came up and tried it and confirmed our experience. They said they’d try to get it fixed. They were unable to do so with maintenance so they said my option was to walk down the hall to another room to shower or go to wellness center. I tried the other room’s shower the next morning and it did the same thing as our two room showers. The general manager spoke with us and said she didn’t see what we were talking about and made it out like we were fabricating the situation, very unprofessional. She never followed up with us after she said she was staying the night in the hotel to try it out herself. The last of four nights I asked to speak with her, they said she would be available when we returned, and when we came back she had left for the evening. She offered $150 for use in the hotel bar (which we tried the first night and was disappointed they were serving $20 drinks in plastic cups) or restaurant. Since we didn’t know about the credit ahead of time, we had already had a reservation we couldn’t change last minute at another, so we tried to go to the bar again and they didn’t have the wine listed on the menu in stock. There were many instances of not being ready to open, only 2 of all floor in the hotel were open and the others were still under construction which we would hear from our rooms too. For a five star hotel, the general manager was lacking BIG, the rest of the personnel was nice, but definitely not worth the price per room whatsoever. The location was the best part of the hotel but the street in front was under major construction too. The kicker is they never refunded the deposit upon checkin and now I’m dealing with that! Stay away from here until they have new management in my opinion. So many other options.

Hemos ido al Rooftop a tomar un cocktail y nos hemos animado con unas croquetas y una pizza. Comida buena, ambiente fantástico y servicio muy simpático. Volveremos!

Hotel muy céntrico, para ir andando a todas partes. Cuenta con un muy buen Spa y la terraza con bar y piscina es de lo mejor de Barcelona. Las nuevas habitaciones recién renovadas son muy bonitas y modernas, resultan muy cómodas y están muy bien insonorizadas, además de contar con la tecnología más moderna. Con todo, lo mejor es el personal, muy profesional y muy amable. Siempre atentos y anticipándose a tus necesidades. Volveremos seguro.

Great roof top terrace with view's.

One of the best check-in experiences in a long time! Best roof top bar with life DJ set on weekend (sunday incl.) Super friendly and helpful employees. All new rooms with everything you wish to have for a relaxing evening and night after a day out in the heat of Barcelona. I specially appreciated the big bottle of good smelling body lotion, perfectly happy with my stay.

L'emplacement est idéal, le personnel est très agréable, petit déjeuner avec tout ce que l'on peut attendre, le resto « gastro » est de bonne qualité et d'un très bon rapport qualité prix, je recommande le menu dégustation accompagné de vins à 65€. Le bar roof top est superbe, belle vue sur la ville, DU et très bon tapas. Les chambre légèrement petites sur du standard mais bien décorés, les seules légers bémols mais c'est le cas dans énormément d'hôtels, pas suffisamment d'étagère pour déballer les vêtements et we dans la salle de bain. Enfin ce sont des détails, je recommande vivement cet hôtel.

five stars hotel which deserves 500 stars ⭐️ super professional super friendly super service. the room was perfect , the bathtub, the closet. and the skybar ????. ????the PLACE you guys ! its near everything you have to visit in barcelona. the staff oh my !so kind , they gave me a gift for new year , and always left me notes and chocolate.so cute . and big thanks for the receptionists : Jaime and Marta ???? and of course Carlos ???????? . you made my barcelona trip so special thanks alot ????????

The hotel and staff are absolutely fantastic.
The location is brilliant also.

The staff were exceptional and extremely welcoming and helpful.

When we go back to Barcelona we wont even bother looking at other hotels we will book here again.

Hôtel moderne, bien situé (proche du quartier gothique). Le personnel très sympathique. Le petit plus : la piscine sur le toit avec une jolie vue sur les toits de la ville!

Superbe hôtel en plein centre, moderne et sympathique. Lz piscine sur le toit permet d'admirer Barcelone avec les teintes du coucher de soleil...Superbe.
