ADAMASTOS

I absolutely loved this hotel, having stayed here for a week in July. It's a beautiful, family run hotel with a traditional Greek feel to it. The exterior areas and pool are of a stunning decor. The host, Irene, was extremely friendly and helpful.
Our room was basic, comfortable, clean and spacious. The bathroom was perfectly adequate and I liked the olive oil shower gel. There was daily cleaning and fresh towels. There weren't any tea/coffee facilities which didn't bother me as I don't drink either! The fridge was really handy for storing drinks and snacks. Our balcony overlooked the vines as well as having ocean view.
The pool is a good size, refreshing and is situated with lovely sea and countryside views. There were always vacant sun loungers and umbrellas.
My son and I enjoyed the breakfasts and sat outside each day to take in the views. Food varied from fresh water melon, home made traditional Greek pastries, breads, ham, sausages, cheese, yoghurt, tomatoes and drinks. There was plenty of food to cater for a growing teenager!
I liked the location of Adamastos as it is in a quieter area of the island, but in no way short of places to visit or things to do. The village with tavernas, restaurants, supermarket, pharmacy and clothes and craft shops is only a few minutes walk away. The old fort and beautiful church is in the heart of the village. We discovered a lovely, more secluded (Balos) beach about 10 -15 minute walk from the hotel. We also watched the stunning sunsets over the caldera which was only a 5 minute walk away at the back of the hotel. No crowds and totally peaceful!
Also close by are the ancient ruins, Red beach and water taxis to White and Black beaches. All are about a 15 minute walk away, although the road does not have pavements so you need to be careful when walking! You can catch a bus there if preferred.
The bus stop is right outside the hotel if you want to travel to Fira and further afield.
If I was to return to beautiful Santorini, I would definitely come and stay at Adamastos again. Thank you Irene and family for your wonderful hospitality.

Hotel très calme. Chambre spatieuse et très propre. Le personnel est très sympa et surtout la petite dame de l'accueil est absolument charmante (et parle le français ce qui facilite les rapports).
Nous recommandons cet hôtel si vous recherchez la simplicité, le calme et la convivialité.

Nous sommes Ravies de notre séjour à santorin … l’hôtel Adamastos est un hôtel familial d’une vingtaine de chambres situé à environ 20 min de Fira et 30 min d’oia les villages les plus touristiques de l’île !
Les bus sont bien desservis pour s’y rendre … l’arrêt de bus est à 3 minutes à pied de l’hôtel dans le village d’akrotiri où il y a quelques restaurants très bons et une bonne ambiance … la réceptionniste est géniale, à l’écoute et aux petits soins .
L’hôtel est calme .. les chambre sont simples , il y a une petite terrasse privé toute mignonne ! Le petit déjeuné est simple et correct les petits chatons de l’hôtel sont trop mignons !
En revanche la douche serait à revoir mais pour quelques jours c’est ok .
Pour résumé c’est un hôtel simple avec beaucoup de convivialité.
Je remercie de tout cœur la réceptionniste qui a été adorable avec nous !
Nous serions ravie de revenir pour des prochaines vacances !!!
