The Arion hotel is not fully meet European 4-star standards (My oppinion is 3-star), as our room (at least) had a 90s style.
However, what I really have to highlight is the incredibly high level of cleanliness and attention to detail in every corner of this complex! The perfect cleanliness of the room, as well as every public area, is astonishing and surprising for this categorization in Greece. Even our 90s-style room didn't have anything that didn't work. Everything was functioning perfectly, and great effort was put into the details, so parts of tiles, furniture, switches... etc. that had to be replaced over the years were in line with the interior and carefully matched.
Daily thorough cleaning and frequent replacement of bedding and towels certainly contribute to the pleasant experience.
Indeed, all praise for this medium-sized family hotel located in a good location with a wonderful panoramic view of the nearby town of Kokkari!
I would like to note that it seems to me that a certain part of the hotel rooms has been completely renovated (i’m not sure for that), so it might be wise to inquire directly about this beforehand (we booked through an agency from Serbia which probably booked cheaper options).
I also want to emphasize that I am a person for whom luxury accommodation is not of great importance. However, I have experience with the SLH segment, as well as 5-star hotels on the Adriatic Sea, and luxury hotels in European ski resorts, so I believe I can assess objectively.
A small note... although there is a hotel minibus that takes you to the nearest beaches, in my opinion, when staying at this hotel, you must have a rental car.
In the end, all praise for the Arion hotel, as well as all praise for the island of Samos, an incredible and lesser-known gem of the Aegean Sea!
