KN HÔTEL ARENAS DEL MAR ^{* * * *}

Rebuttal time! We have just spent a week at this hotel and we've had a fabulous time.We had a wonderful room overlooking the sea..We would leave the patio door open late into the evening to listen to the relaxing surf.
The staff are lovely, welcoming and friendly.The food is perfectly acceptable.If you can't find something to eat from all the choices available you need a reality check.
The pool is pristine ,ocean blue and warm.There are plenty of sun beds.Oh no! They're a bit weathered and worn.What do you expect?they're outside 365 days a year.
And to those naysayers who complain about the wind: Do some research before you book.Its a windsurfers paradise Duh!
El Medarno,the local town is also NOT weird.Its quaint, authentic with lovely cafes and community squares.The people are friendly and it has the best toy shop we've ever visited.
The hotel entertainment was fine. The lady who ran it had wonderful energy.Water aerobics and yoga were fun.
But oh the humanity! Having to wait at the pool bar for 2 minutes to get served.
And finally to the person who wrote saying they knew lots of people who had illness due to the food this is insidious and probably slanderous.We were there roughly at the same time and saw absolutely nothing like this.

Fantástica experiencia, reseñable la ubicación y la tranquilidad. Alejado del bullicio del pueblo, pero cerca para ir paseando. Buenas instalaciones, buenas habitaciones, bien en limpieza y servicio. Hotel Only Adults.

Sehr altes Hotel. Zimmer gross, aber schmuddelig. Mülleimer + Schrankgriff kaputt. Sofa im Zimmer alt und abgenutzt. Matratzen sehr hart. Überall liegen immer wieder Haarbüschel im Bad und Zimmer verteilt. Allgemein sind die Zimmer sehr hellhörig. Man hört bis spät in die Nacht noch was sich unterhalb einem abspielt - vor allem Geschrei. Das Restaurant ist so la la. Sehr dreckig. Tische werden sporadisch und schnell schnell „abgewischt“. Salz & Pfefferstreuer, sowie Tischsets, die sich auf den Tischen befinden, sind verklebt und werden wohl eher selten mal gereinigt. Fensterbretter / Ablagen sind von Krümeln übersäht. Die Stühle und Tische im Allgemeinen sind ebenfalls sehr alt, abgenutzt und von Flecken übersäht. Einfach nur ecklig. Das Frühstück ist „besser“ als das Abendbrot. Überwiegend lässt das Essen auch sehr zu wünschen übrig. So schlecht wie in diesem Hotel haben wir noch nie gegessen. Die Kellnerinnen/Kellner sind sehr in sich gekehrt und kommen mit dem Abräumen nicht hinterher. Wenn man als Gast Halbpension gebucht hat, etwas zu Trinken bestellen möchte, muss man viel mehr auf die Kellner zugehen - von alleine kommen sie nicht um einem die Getränke zu offerieren. Die Bar innerhalb des Hotels hat keine Ahnung von Cocktails - ist Alles mit zuckersüssen und ungeniessbarem Sirup vermischt. Empfangspersonal ist sonst nett und hilfsbereit.
Im Grossen und Ganzen würden wir dieses Hotel nicht weiterempfehlen.

Kurz und knapp. Kam heute Nacht heim und habe mich darauf gefreut. Die Zimmer sind schmuddelig, das Restaurant ebenfalls. Chaos beim Frühstück mit überforderten Angestellten. Speisen nur auf Engländer ausgerichtet. All Inclusive Engländer ganztags mit Alkohol zugange (fast alle). Abends Gebrüll und Geschrei in der "Bar". Abendbuffett war okay. Ich fand immer was.

Einmal und nie wieder. Hotel hätte Potenzial, schöpft es aber nicht aus.

Misery everywhere, you can change your towels only after 2 days. There's not smoking areas,they ll ask you to get out of the hotel for a cigarette. Now read with fully open eyes...if you want a beer, you must to pay 1 euro deposit for a PLASTIC CUP. Now the SPA... 15 euros for 2 hours, but you MUST stay there fully 2 hours, if want to go out for a beer for example, you can't get back and using the left time...you must to pay again. Absolutely ridiculous hotel with lasy staff, mostly of them doesn't speak English. I'm still here unfortunately...can't wait to go back home
