Eine traumhafte Unterkunft mit der Möglichkeit auch einige Tiere zu sehen. Wir haben ganz viele Faultiere beobachten können. Die Farmtour war super interessant und wir durften ganz viele Früchte und Gewürze vom Baum probieren. Zudem haben wir noch ein Medical Workshop also wie eine Art Kräuterkurs gemacht, was auch spannend war. Das Personal ist super hilfsbereit und das Essen und die Getränke waren auch sehr gut! Kostenloses Wasser von einer Quelle gab es auf dem Zimmer!

Favorite place ever! Incredible food, amazing yoga, friendly staff, and super interesting tours. We stayed three nights and never left the property. Didn't need to! Such a relaxing, cozy gem.

The staff was helpful and nice. The place is Overpriced! The lodge is in the middle of nowhere. Uber doesn’t want to drive there. So be ready to spend extra $ for cab. Or if you want to take the tours that they offer beware that they are overpriced! We googled for the similar tours in La Fortuna and it was cheaper to take a $35 cab + tour than to take the Finca’s option. The food was delicious but nothing special. Breakfasts are good. If you’re vegan beware there are no dairy free options. Their $20 dinner buffet was really upsetting. They had a bunch of shredded cabbage, carrots & beets. Def wasn’t worth $20. The other closest place to eat is at least 40min walk or again cab. No sloths or monkeys around. If you want to see wildfire around your hotel stay in La Fortuna/ Arenal area. The pool was kinda dirty and the night we wanted to use their jacuzzi there was not enough water in there so we weren’t able to.

My family of 5 visited Luna Nuevo Lodge and Finca, and really enjoyed our visit. The lodge is a true nature experience. You are immersed and surround by beautifully jungle, native plants and lots of wild life. We saw all sorts creatures like parrots, an owl, several sloths, a peccary, and lots of Toucans. The restaurant is nicely set with a the view of nature while overlooking the pool. We didn’t do any of the tours but really enjoyed exploring the farm, the trails and the grounds. It is a good distance away from La Fortuna so you are better of with a car but totally worth it as you really feel immersed in the rainforest.

Such an amazing place. Service is great, they have amazing workshops, great for both kids and families and for couples. A must stay while you are in Costa Rica

Overall very ‘meh’ place and underwhelming on all accounts. Food was mediocre at best and overpriced for what it was. The hot tub paint comes off on your bathing suit and DOES NOT come out. Disappointed and let down and now my bathing suit is ruined on top of that.

La mejor sorpresa de una primera semana en CR. Servicio fuera de serie y lugar de paz y de buena vibra.
Recomendado el trail del parque (50min caminando) y el tour del cafe de la Finca de la Esperanza que está a 5min en coche.
De lujo todo en el Lodge Luna Nueva!!

This place is amazing. We visited for a short time and they showed us a sloth just outside the restaurant. Byron was the best. Great service and nice person who made us feel welcome. Stay here, you will enjoy it.

Romantic, Peaceful & Private: Luxury Dome in the Rainforest

I am a return visitor to Finca Luna Nueva but the first time staying in the NEW Dome structure.

We are welcomed with genuine, enthusiastic greetings.

The Dome Living Space: After walking past the restaurant, pool, jacuzzi and massage hut, on a private path, the hubby and I were nestled in the rainforest in the the newly constructed double-dome structure. It’s a most beautiful design including a private patio to enjoy the rainforest views. Did I say, “Luxury?” It is truly luxury in the rainforest!

Beautiful wood is embedded throughout the concrete floors with an arched hallway connecting the en-suite dome to the bedroom dome.

Furnishings: The custom furnishings fit the interiors perfectly, including hand carved mirrors over the double sinks in the smaller of the two domes. Yes, there’s lots of hot water for the large shower and more hidden storage space in the headboard.

Patio, Rainforest & Garden: We had private views of the gardens from the the floor to ceiling “rainforest-theater” windows and doors that also were embedded with screens that opened for the delightful rainforest breezes ...it is heaven. We saw hummingbirds, butterflies, green parrots and so much more wildlife for our private viewing pleasure. At night the patio is carefully lit with a twinkle of mini “dome” lights. Cute addition.

Food & Drink: The Farm to Table meals and fruit drinks from their organic farm were offered including kimchi, kefir and kombucha. My favorite drink was the papaya & milk smoothies and the hubby’s was the local beer. Wine and mixed drinks are also available.

Staff: I cannot say enough about the staff at this location. They are accommodating, informed, quick to help and always make you feel as if you are their favorite guest! It meant a lot that each staff member introduced themselves and welcomed us.

Tours: The Lodge also has optional tours available. We went on the Farm Tour, Early Morning Birding Tour and Night Rainforest Tour with an exceptionally knowledgeable tour guide, Roy. He even took pictures though his telescope with our smartphones!

Treat yourself and your partner or just treat yourself to luxury in the rainforest.

Lodge is really simply a paradise. It’s comfortable, farm to table food is delicious (and it’s Finca Luna’s own farm). Service is welcoming and accommodating. Bed was very comfy. The sounds of the jungle is the most beautiful music. Spa is affordable and has a wide range of treatments. Lots of exciting excursions and on property tours. This is my second yoga retreat with Niedra Gabriel and I plan on returning every year. Big shout out to our server Bryan and everyone here.

Exceptional all around. The farm, the food, the tours, the accommodations, the people, all cannot be beat. It was our favorite stop on our trip to Costa Rica and maybe my favorite hotel I’ve ever stayed in. We did the farm and chocolate tours, the night walk and an off site visit to Proyecto Asis and loved every one of them. Paz at reception, Carlos our farm and chocolate tour guide, Byron and Esteven in the restaurant were all so helpful and friendly. Everyone was amazing with my 2 year old son. The ambiance is ultra friendly and we made friends with several guests. It was so refreshing seeing this business have a mission that they stick to. It is as amazing and special as all the reviews say.

Such an amazing spot! The grounds are beautiful and we loved how natural it was kept. It is fairly remote so transport was costly as we didn’t rent a car.
The staff….. are so awesome. Very customer service oriented and friendly. Definitely make you feel welcome. They will go out of the way to accommodate your needs! We never felt like we were bothering them.
We only did a couple tours but they were great… Roy was awesome!
Initially I wondered why the food options were so limited especially if you didn’t want what was on the menu that day. But once we were there a day or so, I understood and it is all prepared fresh and healthy.
It is kid friendly so if you are looking for peace and quiet may not be a good spot. I didn’t realize how many families with kids would be there.
My one complaint … move the smoking section further away from the eating area OR limit smoking when meals are being served. We had 2 dinners with the stink of smoke, yuk!
Also….our massages were wonderful, but the spa is also centrally located. So over half of my husband’s massage was spent listening to people right outside the spa.
Overall a great place to stay!!

The finca is really beautiful and in the middle of the forest. We were the only non-North American travelers and I think also the only backpackers. Most other guests were more luxurious travelers and there were a lot of little kids, so the vibe was a bit different than we expected. We were pretty dissapointed that upon arrival it turned out their yoga teacher stopped so they didnt offer yoga anymore. We did a cacao tour, which was super super nice! The tour guide told us this was his last week so dont know how it will be in the future. The location is not very practical if you want to do things in La Fortuna, everything is 45-60 minutes driving. Also we had a facial cleaning appointment and that I really dont recommend, this type of treatment was clearly not her specialty, so I dont understand way it was offered. But overal we had a great stay! Thanks also to the lovely staff!

Atemberaubender Ort mitten in der Natur! Perfekt zum Erholen und Runterkommen.
Wunderschöne Anlage, großer Pool und eine tolle Farmtour zum Erkunden der Farm. Das Essen war sehr lecker und alles war unglaublich frisch direkt von der Farm.
Das Personal ist unglaublich nett und hilfsbereit. Durch Birons Hilfe konnten wir an unserem letzten Tag noch zwei Faultiere in einem Baum am Pool entdecken. Danke Biron für deine Hilfe und den tollen Service hinter der Theke!
Für 2 oder 3 Nächte der perfekte Ort zum Ankommen in Costa Rica. Jetzt kann es weiter gehen.

We visited Finca Luna Nueva Lodge in October this year and are still looking back with such warm feelings on this beautiful experience. The place is just magical. The staff is extremely helpfull and you really get to be one with your surroundings. I especially loved the meditation area, just around 5 o'clock when the evening is on its way. Leckeres Essen, freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal, saubere Zimmer und super schöne Anlage mit Pool und Jacuzzi (24/7 nutzbar). Danke für den angenehmen Aufenthalt. Tipp: in einem Baum direkt über dem Pool wohnt ein Faultier. :-)

Finca Luna Nueva is a magical place set within the luscious rainforest of La Fortuna. You'll take a bumpy road into the resort, but enjoy being disconnected from the outside world. The food is incredible - all farm-to-table, organic, and fresh. I ordered the casado pescado twice as the grilled fish was so moist and flavourful. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and helped us book our offsite activities of ziplining and hot springs. The hammock life got me as well - how lovely is it to end your day with a little swinging?! 10/10 would recommend staying here.

It's possible to see the local fauna. We saw armadillos, toucans, a turtle. It's pretty isolated and quiet.

wir hatten einen traumhaften Aufenthalt in der finca . mit unseren 2 Kindern haben wir in einem Familien Bungalow gewohnt und hatten sehr viel
Platz . wir haben die Farm Tour und die Nachtwanderung gemacht . wir können es sehr empfehlen . wir haben viel über die Pflanzen auf der Farm und die Tiere bei Nacht gelernt . die Kühe haben wir auch gemolken was uns allen sehr viel Spaß gemacht hat. das Essen im Restaurant war sehr lecker und es werden viele Pflanzen , Früchte und Gewürze von der Farm verwendet .
super war natürlich auch der große Pool !!
wir hatten auf der Farm einen tollen Abschluss unserer Reise .

Il primo impatto con la Costa Rica!
Bellissimo eco lodge immerso nella foresta. La "casita deluxe" dove ho soggiornato era molto grande con panoramiche finestre su tre lati della stanza per un visuale da film sulla vegetazione circostante. Riservatezza totale. Aria condizionata, pale, grande bagno con doccia enorme. Fantastica amaca sulla quale rilassarsi e godersi i colori e i suoni incredibili della foresta. Ci sono vari percorsi già tracciati nella foresta che si possono eseguire in tutta sicurezza senza necessità di una guida. È presente un yoga pavillion dove praticare da soli o durante le lezioni giornaliere. Ristorante molto caratteristico ma direi mediocre. Piscina. Orto biologico, bees farm...
Ho soggiornato in agosto, qualche pioggia sporadica e nessuna zanzara dato che in Costa Rica è inverno!
Consigliato. Per me due giorni sono stati sufficienti per riprendermi dal lungo viaggio, rilassarmi e avere voglia di ripartire alla scoperta di questo fantastico paese.

Finca Luna Nueva is a wonderful place with very comfortable rooms and bungalows and a great pool, but also very close to nature. Recommend visiting the Children's Eternal Forest which was one of the highlights of our adventure in Costa Rica.

Lovely grounds, very nice bar / pool area and very helpful staff. Rooms ok. Restaurant is a bit of a disappointment, especially as there are not a lot of other good dinner options nearby.

It is honestly difficult to put into words how magical our stay at Finca Luna Nueva Lodge was for our family. My husband and I visited Finca Luna Nueva 15 years ago and have been telling our children about it for years...and we finally had the opportunity to bring them to see it first-hand. They were as in-love with the farm and the experience as we had been 15 years ago! The property itself is beautiful, overflowing with gorgeous flowers and trees. Everywhere you look is like a postcard. The family bungalows are perfect for a group with two separate bedrooms for parents and the kids. The AC and ceiling fans provide a lovely breeze and keep things comfortable. The pool is divine with clear, cool water and a little waterfall on one end. One of our favorite memories was floating in the pool and looking up into an overhanging tree to watch a sloth have a snack! The restaurant was divine -- delicious meals made with fresh ingredients from the farm! What could be better. The beer selection and cocktails were on-point as well. But perhaps the best part of Finca Luna Nueva is the people...every staff member we met was warm, welcoming, kind, and passionate about the farm. We LOVED our farm tour and chocolate tour with Roy -- he was wonderful with our kids and so knowledgeable! And funny! We also loved getting to know Danny and Egenia. And don't forget to book a massage with Kinga! She is amazing. This trip truly was a once-in-a-lifetime experience and we are so grateful to Finca for serving as such a beautiful memory maker for our family.

La finca est un peu isolée (à 30 minutes du centre de la Fortuna) mais bénéficie de nombreux avantages (localisé dans un écrin de verdure, calme, service de qualité, les chambres assez grandes, terrasses et piscine pour lire et se reposer le soir). Idéal pour un séjour de 3 jours pour visiter la région autour de Arenal (à condition d'être motorisé).
