LINDEN HOTEL

From the first moment we arrived, we got welcomed by two lovely staff members who also gave us the best tips for a memorable stay in Amsterdam.
You'll have an area, like similar to a little cafe, where you'll have free access to teas, coffees, pastries (!!), and also cutleries, microwave and toaster.
You can also use the communal fridge.
We got upgraded to a bigger room with extra beds. The room was clean, and has everything you need.
Only two things is the bathroom, which is tiny, but didn't bother us as we are small people. And beds could be more comfortable.
The hotel is located is in Jordaan, which one of the most characteristic and funky areas of Amsterdam.
And compared to other hotels in the area, it's also well priced.
What we left they gave us a gift back with lots goodies for out trip back.
We definitely recommend this place :)
I stayed here for a single night (Saturday) in a small double room on the top floor with a great view out to the canal. The room was really nice with a comfy bed and ensuite bathroom and was a slightly irregular shape due to being near the roof.
Like many of the houses in Amsterdam, Linden has quite a few stairwells to traverse between floors, there is also a lift but it is quite slow. The hotel and neighbourhood were quiet on my stay even for a Saturday. Although some of the rooms were near the stairwells, so other rooms maybe get a bit more disruption than mine.
My Interactions with the hotel staff were always pleasant and there always seemed to be someone at reception.
Linden also offers:
Free coffee to all their guests (available in ground floor kitchen/seating area)
A free goodie bag containing a generous selection of snacks to their departing customers
Free luggage storage for those who have recently checked out.
It is also worth noting that visitors to Amsterdam (as of 2024) are now subject to a 12.5% tourist tax on hotel room stays, this was collected when I checked in, but should be factored into your budget regardless of which hotel you are staying in.
