SIR ALBERT HOTEL

I did not get a complimentary upgrade, 4 pm late check-out, or free breakfast as a Marriott Titanium member. That’s fine. I know this hotel’s connection with Marriott is just I can make a reservation through Marriott. The service and quality are far below Marriott's average standard, even below four points.
The most disturbing and UNSAFE part of my stay was that on Jan 25th, a man entered the room without announcing himself, and I was using the toilet, wearing nothing! He saw me wearing nothing!!! I reported the incident to the front desk and requested to change the room. Just change to another room rather than an upgrade. I got refused! The receptionist lied to me! She said the hotel was fully booked. However, looking through the Bonvoy app, several room types were still available that day! She gave me a 15% discount for this accident. I felt like it was like a joke. This was a super severe accident, and no one apologized or assisted me with that. 15% discount was nothing compared to my safety.
I didn’t feel safe staying there as a single traveler. As Ms. Lin mentioned, there was no way to lock the door inside the room, so that the same incident could have happened again. This independent hotel has enormous security problems. I didn’t know if the person who entered my room was a staff or another guest! I cannot imagine…
Also, the AC is very noisy, so I have to turn off the machine to get a sound sleep. But then it’s so cold when I get up. I can always hear other guests and housekeepers open and close the door with loud noises. Only refill tissue every day. Such an easy job for housekeeping ????
I would not recommend this hotel, and of course, I will never go back to this hotel. It's such an awful place!
