Welcome to my review for Hotel La Marianna, a hidden gem nestled on the stunning shores of Lake Como, Italy. As we embarked on a scenic 90-minute drive from Park Hyatt Milan, the anticipation grew with each passing mile. Our online research had left us in awe of the hotel's private lake terrace, boasting the most breathtaking views we could imagine.

Upon our arrival, we were warmly greeted by the son of the family, who made us feel instantly at home. The genuine hospitality and personalized attention were heartwarming, setting the tone for an extraordinary stay. Stepping into our room, we were rendered speechless by the unreal beauty that unfolded before our eyes. The expansive windows showcased panoramic views of Lake Como that seemed straight out of a dream.

The hotel's ambiance was steeped in history and charm. Adorning the walls were the father's incredible photographs, capturing moments from the 1950s to the 1970s. It was like stepping back in time, and we couldn't help but appreciate the artistry and nostalgia that surrounded us.

One of our favorite spots in the hotel was the lounge room, where a classic guitar beckoned us to unwind. Soft, relaxing melodies played in the background, creating the perfect backdrop for peaceful moments of reflection. It was a haven of tranquility, allowing us to fully embrace the essence of Lake Como.

Choosing Hotel La Marianna in Cadenabbia over the more popular towns of Bellagio and Varenna turned out to be a brilliant decision. The town offered a serene and authentic experience, away from the bustling crowds. A short 7-minute walk, approximately 500 meters, led us to the ferry port, granting us easy access to explore the enchanting neighboring towns and their wonders.

As we had chosen to drive, the hotel's provision of free parking was a true convenience. Knowing that our car was securely parked allowed us to fully immerse ourselves in the delights of Lake Como without any worries.

Our time at Hotel La Marianna was nothing short of magical. From the captivating beauty of Lake Como to the warm embrace of the family-owned hotel, every moment was a treasure to be cherished. Aperto nel 1850 come locanda, è ora gestita dalla famiglia Valentini dal 2001.
Il titolare definisce il suo ristorante "non democratico" in quanto il menù è fisso e a rotazione mensile con prodotti stagionali biologici, anche provenienti dagli orti Biologici di Villa Carlotta.
Oggi ho degustato Vol-au-vent di caponata, tagliolini al ragù dell'aia, roastbeef alla moschettiera e tartufo semifreddo.
Buona qualità e piatti abbondanti.
La Marianna propone il mercoledì un interessante menù della nonna, in specifico ricette del lago ormai dimenticate tra le quali Trota alla Comacina, zuppa d'imbroglio e come dessert torta di pane.
Il giovedì menù vegetariano mentre Il venerdì è a base di pesce.
Si consiglia la prenotazione con richiesta del menù giornaliero in quanto non vi è la possibilità di effettuare richieste alternative.

L’hotel è semplice e datato e avrebbe sicuramente bisogno di una “rivisitata”, ma l’accoglienza e la disponibilità dei titolari, compensano alla grande!
Il proprietario è stato carinissimo e, considerati i miei problemi alimentari, mi ha fatto preparare per la colazione una torta senza cannella!
Avevo scoperto questo hotel-ristorante grazie a una puntata di “Quattro Ristoranti” e me lo ero segnato più per il ristorante che per l’hotel. Per cena abbiamo però deciso di andare in un altro posto perché il ristorante ha un menù giornaliero fisso e quella sera i piatti erano poco compatibili con i miei problemi alimentari (per via delle spezie che non posso mangiare).

Accueil très chaleureux par un personnel au petit soin et de plus polyglotte. Le cadre est idyllique avec une magnifique vue depuis la terrasse où l'on prend le petit déjeuner et le dîner. La cuisine y est excellente, ambiance familiale et avec une vraie identité par rapport aux autres restaurants italiens que l'on a pu faire durant le séjour. Aucune hésitation sur cet hébergement pour des vacances réussies.
