The best location in the best place on lake como. Everything was top quality.
We enjoyed lunch at terrace, numerous evening cocktails at sunset. Very engaging service.
I would recommend at least one night to indulge in the 7 course tasting menu at the main restaurant. It was innovative and delicious. Excellent service with good wine recommendations.
When you want to treat yourself to a exceptional experience, this is clearly one of the places you should try.
Rooms are quiet nice, but for some reason they don't offer an iron so I can freshen up my clothes. Instead they try to charge you up to 100 euros to iron my clothes for me. It's the only hotel I have ever seen do this and i have stayed at a lot of countries and hotels, extremely weird practice.
Another thing is that some staff are definitely not as friendly at this hotel compared to other places weve stayed at, as if they look down on you. Not sure if it was because we are younger, and they didn't think we belonged there (most of the people staying at this hotel were 40+)
Went to visit Tremezzo and it was a 100% better vibe there, not sure why that was.
On complaint.. the hotel was not fully booked but they gave us a less than premium view. Also I asked for a 1 hour late checkout and I knew when they asked my room number and they found out I made the booking on booking.com they said no. I know they were not busy.
Driving there is a real problem. I recommend driving on the other side and taking the ferry over.
We ate all of our meals in the downstairs restaurant. It was wonderful and at night we sat in the lobby and listen to a piano player.
