The idea of this restaurant is supposed to be like dining in a museum - an art museum! To start this review, the food here is great and imaginative! The service is also attentive. You leave here feeling full to the brim. The one thing that deducts points from this overall experience may be the vibe and atmosphere of the restaurant. It is cold, awkward and uneasy to dine in a “museum”. The silence is deafening! Other than that, the food and presentation is delicious and beautiful which activates all senses. It is quite the expensive dining experience as well - we did the tasting menu for reference. There were not many tables ongoing as well likely due to the price point.

È stata un’esperienza stupenda, sicuramente da rifare. Personale Super preparato, piatti favolosi e ambiente accogliente. Tutto quello che si può chiedere da un buon ristorante. Super consigliato, Soprattutto il loro dolce famoso “sole nel piatto” che viene preparato al momento infatti vi verrà chiesto appena vi accomodate, dato che richiede almeno 1 ora di preparazione, ma ne vale la pena.

Tasting menu was divine, service perfect, wines were brilliant examples of the local varieties. Obviously not a cheap experience but one you will remember! Our first night of our honeymoon was spent here and I would definitely do the same again.

Michelin star? Absolutely not.
Spent all day looking forward to dine at this restaurant. And now I’ll spend all year talking about how bad of an experience it was.

I honestly don’t know how this got a Michelin star. Unless they give it to the winner of tasteless food and cooks without tastebuds.

We did the 10 course meal. Oh boy were we in for a treat. Horrendous treat. Throughout dinner there was nothing to do, but laugh at the quality of the food. Laughable. Disjointed tastes. Tasteless. Even the desserts were inedible! We forced ourselves to eat the courses. At the end we just left the food on the table uneaten. We just wanted out of the restaurant as soon as possible. Slap me with the $385 bill, but just get me out of here.

The good:
The atmosphere was really nice, although decorations were a bit childish. Cute.
Service was good and on point.
Chef was really sweet and nice. Liked him a lot. But.. chef. Please taste the food your kitchen makes!!

In summary:
Don’t go here if you want good food.

This place had an intimate and homey feel. Pretty amazing for such an established and famous dining place. The service and food were amazing and the staff was very friendly. One of our favorite places in Almafi.

Mala atención, nos tiraron el menú en la mesa, nos dijeron que nos apuráramos porque iba a cerrar la cocina pero después llego gente italiana y la atendieron

No están todos los precios por aperol y limoncello spritz nos cobraron 10 euros, carísimos ya que en casi todos los restaurantes cobran 7 euros
Y cubierto a 3 euros por persona dándonos 5 pedazos de pan que estaba muy malo

This will be one of the most memorable restaurants we ate at in all of Italy. If you're looking for a classy Michelin experience while in Amalfi look no further. The service was exceptional from start to finish. We ordered a modest bottle of wine (from their wine encyclopedia) and were not at all made to feel badly about this. We chose to order from the a la carte menu and everything we ordered was beyond delicious with beautiful presentations. Price was as expected for a Michelin star, our bill was 360 Euros for 4 which was very worth it. Would highly recommend this restaurant.

Excellent restaurant for dinner in Amalfi. We weren’t too hungry so went with a la carte and wine pairing, which was perfect. Also highly recommend the tiramisu which was the best I’ve had.

The food was lovely. The service was not so good. Wine did not arrive at the same time as the food being served. The first courses was served really fast, and then it was a long pause. I even asked for the bill at one time, and was then informed that there was one more course to come. If this meal was a song, it would be a wild medley - maybe some people like that?

My dinner at @lacaravellaamalfi is one of the highlights of the trip. The dining experience of a traditional but creative tasting menu and the artistic environment is one of a kind! When I found out about this restaurant gallery I was so excited to visit - and it did not disappoint! I can only post 10 photos here, but the decor and art pieces they have on display were so nice as well.

My favorites were the lemon leaves with shredded fish, shrimp with ricotta cheese, and the “sun in the dish” aka giant lemon soufflé. Loved the local and fresh ingredients. I was so full and satisfied after the meal! Highly recommend to people visiting Amalfi who are looking for a nice fancy dinner to enjoy!

Splendido ristorante stellato, ambiente confortevole con soffitto affrescato e curato nei dettagli. Scelta tra diversi menù con possibilità di associare degustazione di vini abbinata ai piatti. Piatti curati nelle materie prime e nella presentazione, forse mi aspettavo qualcosa in più nella conclusione del dessert. Servizio impeccabile. Purtroppo la prenotazione è obbligatoria online con deposito non rimborsabile, ma presumo sia una misura necessaria per adeguare il rifornimento di materie prime e evitare sprechi. Prezzo intorno ai 150-250/persona a seconda della scelta di menù e vino, in linea con i prezzi degli stellati e per il servizio e la posizione nel cuore di Amalfi.

Aceitar reservas pelo site, ter a cozinha indisponível, e não comunicar as pessoas que não é possível jantar!? Chegam as pessoas e batem com o nariz na porta!!?

We tried the tasting menu and it was simply incredible. Our compliments to the chef!
This was the highlight of our 10-day Italy trip and I would highly recommend it to anyone looking to treat themselves in Amalfi!!

On a side note, it was pouring rain when we visited and our shoes were soaked and had no choice but to change into our flip flops before going there for our dinner. We were just about let in so do be aware that you need to be dressed more appropriately.
