Wish I could give a higher rating as this was the most beautiful country I'd been to, and the few staff were as pleasant as all the other Icelanders I'd met. But the hotel itself was not as advertised at all. I came as part of a school excursion from the UK, I was under the impression that the rooms consisted of 1 bathroom for every 2 people. However, I shared 1 between 6, and the rooms changed to 3 per actual room which I believe I'm to blame on my school but originally it was 2. And I have low standards I really do, and that's why I eat the food, but it was not pleasant in all honesty. But the rooms were the worst part, there was one section that shared 2 bathrooms between 10-12 children I believe? And this toilet got clogged with human waste on the first night so I'm extremely glad I wasn't part of this section! All I can say is I'd have to recommend any other hotel if you're looking for real comfort but you'll manage just fine if

We initially had planned to spend 4 nights in this hotel ideally located between the airport and Reykjavik. Once arrived, we were greeted by a friendly guy at the reception but he wasn't really helpful regarding the surroundings and services of the hotel. He mentioned that the owner would be back the following days. The room was old and the bed was not comfortable for us, we could feel the springs of the mattress. We decided to change hotel because it was more expensive than the other hotels we have stayed in during the same trip for less quality, comfort and facilities in and around the hotel. Please be aware that breakfast was not included in the price when reservations are made via booking and Expedia, an extra 20 euros per person is asked. We also had to drive 20 minutes to find a restaurant open for dinner.

With all my sincere respect to the owner, he was a genuine person and kind, this place is way outdated, dirty and definitely doesn’t worth the asking price. The bathroom smells bad, the beds squeak, no sound proof you can hear every thing..

Hotel comodo vicino all’aeroporto, e visto che molto voli arrivano dopo mezzanotte può tornare utile, pulito camere piccine ma passabili, colazione mediocre.

We were staying at this accommodation for three nights in September. The location is perfect and there is a really amazing restaurant right next to it. The breakfast was included in the booking but we still had to pay extra, it was not really good. On the second night our room didn’t get cleaned and we came back to a undone bed and dirty bathroom and no fresh towels, this was a bit disappointing.

A basic guesthouse, comfy and quiet but dated and in some regards tired. There are some gems of history particularly in the reception room, but in other areas it just looked like it hadn't been maintained. Blackout curtains were welcome, as was the key on the counter for a very late arrival. Breakfast not at all worth the cost, nothing hot and not much variety. Some better granola and soft fruits would have made a big difference, or scrambled eggs to go with toast. Value was ok but nothing special.

Schlechteste Unterkunft auf unserer Islandreise. Derzeit eher genutzt von Gastarbeitern die der lauten Musik zugetan sind.

Haben zwei Nächte hier verbracht und waren zufrieden. Man darf kein Luxushotel erwarten, aber es ist alles in Ordnung.
Unser Zimmer war groß, aber dafür schon etwas älter. Der Besitzer war nett und das Frühstück hat für ein kleines Hotel auch seinen Zweck erfüllt!

In Ordnung für eine Übernachtung nach später Ankunft oder früher Abreise. Personal war nett. Frühstücksboxen können bei Bedarf abgeholt werden.

Waren 1 Nacht und mit dem Zimmer zufrieden. Aber das Abendessen war eine Zumutung nicht nur eiskalt sondern auch noch mit € 70,00 pro Person viel zu teuer.
