Kamer was schoon en inchecken was makkelijk. Voor de deur parkeren. badkamer was niet echt schoon, de keuken ook niet. Meest vervelende was nog wel dat we geen gordijnen hadden maar een soort van sierluiken waar dus al het licht door scheen.

Location is great, rooms are a bit small and common spaces are a bit lacking but for the price it works.

Habitación llena de moscas que no dejaban de aparecer no sabemos por donde. Matamos al menos 20 y seguían apareciendo. Al bajar el estor de la ventana estaba lleno de moscas muertas. La cocina muy pequeña para la cantidad de gente que admiten. Había un grupo de al menos 10 personas ocupando todo y no había espacio para nadie más. Poco o ningún control sobre el servicio prestado.

Guesthouse a 5 min di auto dal porto di Akureyri, buona per soggiorni brevi. Posti auto disponibili di fronte alla struttura. Check-in e check-out gestito in autonomia. Camere e bagni non molto grandi, ma molto puliti. Piccola cucina comune a disposizione.

I booked my stay at this guesthouse on March 3rd for a stay in the middle of June...so about 3.5 months later. The very next day I realized I had booked the wrong night and needed the next night instead. I had booked with one free rebooking and tried to rebook, but they had no rooms available for the next night. Therefore I put in a request to cancel instead. This was ONE DAY after I had booked and, again, 3.5 months before the actual stay. Sulur guesthouse could have been decent and accepted my cancelation request considering they had so much time to rebook and would have easily rebooked. They were already pretty booked up for June and would have had no problem rebooking. Again, I contacted them one day after mistakenly booking the wrong date. But instead of understanding that situation, they said absolutely no. They said if I cancelled they would keep my full payment and it was my fault for not booking with free cancellation. I had booked with a free rebooking and they could NOT accommodate. They are right that I should have booked with free cancellation, but considering the circumstances it would have been so easy for them to let me cancel, refund me, and they would have easily rebooked that room since there was still so much time and Iceland is back in huge tourist demand. Instead they seemed eager to cancel me, but KEEP MY MONEY, and then make double money by then rebooking. They literally emailed me after I begged for a free cancellation and said no, and then seemed eager to cancel it by wanting to know if I would now cancel it. I did not. I rearranged those days, added an extra 2 hours of driving over 2 days in order to keep that date, and stayed at Sulur Guesthouse. It is not a bad guesthouse. There is nothing great or bad about it. There was no available parking when they said there would be free parking. My main point is that the owners are really uncooperative and really not very understanding. Think about if you want to deal with that.
