VILLA AO MAR

These guys are so friendly and nice. Accommodations were awesome, especially the beach side ones. Neat, spacious and with enough utensils. We stayed in one of those penthouses for the first couple of days with a group of 5, and that was awesome. Last couple of days we moved to 2 seperate apartments, so we got to experience all of them. They were all great!
You see people stop and look all the time and note the name down on the beach front, probably to book it for the next trip :). Highly recommended!

The Villa ao Mar is located on the beach of Santa Maria ... The prices are higher compared to most other apartments in Santa Maria ... Sara the lady who takes care of the apartments and her parents are great and very helpful & professional. Thanks a lot Sara to you and your parents. The apartments are spacious and very clean...every third day the apartments are cleaned and the linen is changed...the kitchen has everything you need to cook a meal or just prepare a snack...sandwich toaster, microwave, Italian espresso ☕️ stove, large fridge and freezer...pots, pans, cutlery, crockery, everything you need is available...the beach is right outside the door. If you have an apartment facing the street (like we did) it is unfortunately always quite loud ... in the bedroom it is ok, but during the days on the balcony the big trucks deliver drinks to the neighbouring restaurant, the diving school below the apartments fills the oxygen tanks for hours and the compressor they use is very, very loud ... the street is also very busy with cars and trucks ... so it is not so relaxing to spend the day on the apartment balcony ...
If you spend the money for a seaside apartment it should be much better...
but the noise all day and half of the night is nothing unusual in Santa Maria ... except in the hotel resorts it is almost everywhere very noisy and loud ... luckily we have only had two days without wind ???? so far! Fingers crossed we have wind for the rest of the week! on the beach it is relaxing and not noisy at all... happy people having fun...

We booked this accomadation for New Year's at a higher price, expecting a special experience. However, we were scammed and treated poorly. Our stay fell short of the expectations set by previous reviews and the listing description. What was advertised as a ground-floor apartment with direct beach access and a veranda, was in fact, a first-floor unit without these promised features. The confirmation from the receptionist, Nadir, acknowledging the mismanagement of bookings further highlighted the discrepancy between what was advertised and what was provided. Not only did we encounter an issue with the allocated floor differing from the reservation, but even basic amenities were chargeable, for instance the washing machine. Also, the behavior of the cleaning staff during our stay was unprofessional and disrespectful, which significantly detracted from our experience. The location of this place is advantageous, but the experience failed to match its cost. I cannot recommend !

Abbiamo soggiornato in 2 appartamenti della stessa struttura: appartamento silver vista mare è super! Direttamente sulla spiaggia principale!
L’altro deluxe con vista, praticamente non ha la vista mare se non sul tetto.
Entrambi molto belli come arredamento e ben forniti! Personale super gentile!

Villa muy bonita con habitaciones amplias y bien equipadas. Vistas al mar y ubicación inmejorables! El personal de limpieza, los seguridades, los de mantenimiento son súper agradables y simpáticos. Especial mención a Nadir, gracias por todo, gran comunicación, nos reservó los tours adecuados y por un buen precio. Buenas recomendaciones para salir a cenar! Calidad precio muy bien! Dormirte escuchando el océano y despertarte y salir a la terraza y ver ese color turquesa del agua no tiene precio. Cocina equipada, así si quieres cocinar pescado fresco recién pescado de la lonja(que está a 150 metros) también es posible. Fueron muy amables de guardarnos el equipaje después del checkout. Desde luego, cuando volvamos a Sal, repetiremos y recomendaremos a nuestros amigos! Obrigado ;)
PD: tuvimos una suerte enorme de ver a una tortuga grande poner huevos prácticamente frente al hotel, a escasos 20 metros, recuerdo único y especial!!
