Awful experience - we were given a room that stank of mouldy sewage and damp, and had a tiny cupboard for our clothes in the wet room style shower room. The room was giving us a headache and we felt nauseous all night - so asked if we could move in the night but were told that the hotel was full and that wasn't possible. In the morning we spoke to the team again about options and wanted a refund to leave, as at this point this hotel was not one we wanted to stay at any longer and we were saddened about having spent a lot of money on such a poor experience. The receptionist was used to people complaining about their stay, and eventually offered us a different room without investigating our current one. We'd had such a distressing experience we didn't want to stay and gathered have a refund which we were refused. We left, although they stated we had the room if we wanted to at any point. We returned two days later to look for something we had left at the hotel accidentally, to be told by them that we couldn't check in the room as they had given it away!! The owner was there this time and potentially one of the rudest people I've met who works in hospitality which other people seem to mention in reviews.
Don't book here they are criminal.

We are sorry to read your unfounded and slanderous remarks which undoubtedly follow up on your request for a free stay which was refused to you.
We remind you that the room booked was the smallest in the establishment. The Management, contacted by the reception team, in the desire to satisfy you, you then proposed a change of room which you unfortunately refused... You then made the decision to leave, which we regret. The establishment's T&Cs do not provide for a refund in this case...
Similarly, when you returned we had blocked another room for you to avoid any inconvenience... Concerning the unpleasant smell, we sometimes and randomly have a concern for channeling due to the heat wave and the current drought in the South. We have contacted professionals who are intervening this week to resolve this concern.
We would like to point out that no object was found in the old room and that there was no reason justifying your return to the latter after you left the establishment.
