CÔTE & DUNE

We rented one of Coast and Dunes apartments.

Website info:
On arrival we discovered that the apartment was not part of the complex but actually in a different location with no access to the pool. The kids were very disappointed and set the wrong mood for the start of our holiday!
The website is misleading/lacks clearer info (unwilling?) and it should be made much clearer that the apartment isn't part of the main property and all the lovely pictures of the pool all over the website aren't included!

The apartment:
*Pros
-Cental location, near the beach, shops, market and restaurants.
-Ideal for nightlife
-ideal for surfing
-Has WiFi

*Cons
-Every surface was cluttered with random objects (fine for your own home not practical in a rental!). A cleaners nightmare and impractical to put our own things...
-The shower had black mould.
-The pillows need replacing as they are lumpy and uncomfortable

*Advice
-Sheets rather than duvet in summer should be provided
-The location is busy/noisy until 3-4am with shouting (drunk?) people, so not ideal for families, especially with young children.

Une très jolie adresse à Biscarrosse Plage, située non loin du centre ville, et de son agitation estivale.
La maison, conçue à partir du projet de chambres d'hôtes, est magnifique. Tout y est élégant et soigné : l'extérieur fait penser à un jardin, alors que c'est l'utilisation et la mise en scène des éléments naturels locaux : le sable bien sûr, omniprésent, le bois flotté, les coquillages.
Les chambres, la pièce à vivre sont décorées avec élégante et sobriété.
Le seul bémol (cela étant un avis très personnel) vient du fait que dans la chambre que nous avons occupé la salle de bains n'était pas séparée de la chambre. J'ai pu me rendre compte que j'avais vraiment besoin d'intimité.
Le petit déjeuner est varié et copieux, ce jour là j'ai goûté un cake au citron, acheté chez le patissier du coin, mais délicieux.
Nous gardons un excellent souvenir de notre week-end dans cette maison d'hote, et la recommandons avec plaisir.
