¡Una experiencia inolvidable! Gracias a nuestro guía Antonio, nuestro traductor Moisés y mi motivador Duncan. La caminata fue un desafío, pero ellos siempre estuvieron allí para motivarnos, hacernos reír y ayudarnos. Al llegar a la cima, sentí una paz como nunca antes. ¡Fue realmente la aventura más hermosa e inolvidable de mi vida!

This was such an incredible experience. It was my first multi-day hike, and I really appreciated the immersion of the experience, where the hike and the people I was with became my whole life for a few days. The region is so beautiful, also rich in culture and history. I was lucky to do the trek with a wonderful group of like-minded people from around the world.

We were well taken care of and the accommodations were impressively comfortable for a hike in a remote jungle region.

Likewise, the guides were incredible, they took great care of us.

Shout out to Dennis, a local of the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta from a farming family who have lived through an important era in the region's modern history. Her knowledge of the region’s history and stories of her first hand experience were impressive and captivating.

Our translator Pilar was also incredible, so warm and kind. My Spanish isn't excellent, and she always made sure that we were up-to-speed with what was going on.

Special mention to our local guide Jason, who brought a great energy to the group, was attentive to us the whole time, assisting in the kitchen and made sure we were always taken care of. He also did a great job of setting a great hiking pace and kept us motivated.

Lastly, Wilfredy (Piki) was our cook, who kept us well fed the whole trip with delicious food!

Such a great time on this trip, I recommend it for anyone visiting the area. Expotur is the way to go when visiting la Ciudad Perdida!

Wow, the Lost City trek is an indescribable experience. The photos don’t do any justice to the beauty of the Sierra Nevada. Our team was Antonio, Carlos, Luz Mery and Orlando. They were fantastic! The cultural aspect of this trip is a big part of what makes it so special. We loved learning about the indigenous tribes of the area. We got lucky with minimal bugs and mud (went in March). The communication with Expotur leading up to the trip was very good. Thank you!

Une expérience unique au sein de la Sierra Nevada. L'équipe d'Expotur, Enrique, Andres et Luis ont été incroyables et nous ont appris beaucoup de choses sur l'histoire et les coutumes des tribus indigènes de la région.

Amazing trip. Highly recommend this to anyone who is in good physical condition and enjoys an adventure.

Ellie and Pilar were the best guides I could have asked for; they are professional, fun, organized, knowledgeable and great hiking companions!

I will definitely book more treks with Expotur in the future.

We had such an awesome adventure. Everything was well organized, our tour guide Elizabeth and translator Pilar were knowledgeable, energetic and so much fun, the food prepared by Fernando was delicious with big portions, the camps were comfortable with clean sheets and bedding, and the entire experience was excellent.

We learned a lot about indigenous culture and had a chance to meet and talk to people living there. And made great friends with the other visitors in our groups. They even gave us a free ride to the airport afterward, which was above and beyond. Highly recommend Expotur for this trek.

Great experience with this 5-day trek to Ciudad Perdida. All the team was fantastic: our two guides Denise and Mi were so friendly and helpful. And the cooker Alberto did a great job ! The trek was hard but doable for an average healthy backpacker. And it was worth the effort to see the lost city with his own eyes! The accommodations were surprisingly ok for such a roots trek among nowhere, with water, electricity and even WiFi. Thank you!

I had a wonderful time with this your company. I completed the 4-day lost city with our guide Cesar and Kaleth along with our translator Jose. All three of them made sure we were very well taken care of. The food was top notch prepared by our cook Pastrona. Would recommend this tour company and all the guides!!!

On a eu la chance de passer 4 jours de trek dans la Sierra Nevada en quête de la Ciudad Perdida, avec l’organisme Expotur qu’on avait choisi un peu au hasard. Au final, on a été hyper bien accompagnés par Camacho notre guide et Moises, notre traducteur. Du sport, de l’aventure, de belles découvertes et des paysages à couper le souffle. La cité perdue elle-même est fantastique. On mange bien et on dort bien alors qu’on est au beau milieu de la jungle. A ne surtout pas rater !

My Dad and I took a private tour to La Ciudad Perdida. We had an amazing guide Denny's and translator Maria who looked after us all the time. Unfortunately my Dad became ill the night before the trek and they did everything they could to help him recover meaning that he could do the rest of the walk. They even organised him a different meal for the first night something that he could keep down, and made him a special tea.

Throughout the time they made sure we had everything we needed and allowed us to go at our own pace and shared loads of stories and information with us.

The food on the trek was also incredible, both the vegetarian and other options. The food was different everyday and really delicious, and there was certainly no shortage of it, 3 meals a day and plenty of snacks.

I would recommend Expotur to anyone, and in particular our great guide and translator who made the experience even more special.

I just come back from trek with Expotur and Jhoan as a tour leader.
And just after 2 days I am ready to come back.That was best hike for me so far. With some doubts at the beginning about distance, food, guides etc I have to say all turn in perfect shape. Guys were extremely caring along the way , very friendly and protective . They lead us along ,not so popular for tourists, paths so we could enjoy nature on our own. They shared with us history of the place and showed indigenous villages . It was just unforgettable experience .

Had a fantastic 4 day experience accompanied by a great Expotur team with Jorge as guide and Justin as translator and Fredy as cook . Physically challenging. Learned so much about culture, nature, indigenous people from Jorge. Food was exceptional. Best thing I did during my Columbia visit and good value for money.

Amazing trek!! Flaming jaguares!!! Our guide, Elizabeth, was great. She always infirmed us of all logostic plans and historical information about Lost City! All that will be not fully done without our translator Heberth, he was very funny and all the time with him was a pleasure! His english is very good too! and in the end I would like to tell thank you to a chef (our cook) his food was soo teasty and healthy. Thank you everyone! Not easy trek to do but worth every liter of sweat!!!

Jhoan and his team (Victor our amazing translator, Luz the sweetest and strongest woman I met so far travelling, Dubre aka pecho, the youngest and gentle soul looking after us step by step) can not be recommended enough. We met as strangers on an pre organised trip from Go London and we all left feeling we were part of a family, The Ciudad Perdida Go London family. Jhoan leadership is outstanding, he is very knowledgable of anything related to the forest, from flowers to animals and about the Teyuna indigenous communities which live in it. I loved the way Jhoan and Victor (our translator) gave us the time to live and experience the Forest whilst always keeping an eye on us, ensuring everyone was safe whilst giving space to whoever needed it. Food served was always on time and delicious, thank you cookers who behind the scenes made this dream happen. The team’s life stories is something to breath in with your heart. ???? Onwards and upwards guys, you deserve the best. If your heart can, love the dogs and other animals that will be on your journey with you too. ❤️
