Im Herzen des Arts District bietet Manuela eine einfallsreiche, raffinierte und authentische Küche. Der Schwerpunkt liegt auf saisonalen Produkten: Die Köchin kauft nur bei Erzeugern und Bauern in Südkalifornien ein. Auf der Speisekarte stehen schöne Fleischstücke, Fisch und Meeresfrüchte sowie eine große Auswahl an Gemüse und Samen. Übrigens: Jedes Wochenende besuchen die Bewohner des Viertels das Restaurant für seinen eleganten Brunch, bei dem Garnelen mit Speck und frischen Pilzen neben Klassikern wie Eggs Benedict serviert werden.

The menu was varied, with some support for vegetarians, and everything we ordered tasted great. Dessert service was a bit slow and no sugar/sweetener was offered with coffee but otherwise service was well-timed and friendly.
Manuela sneaks a surcharge onto the bottom of the menu, instead of just charging what it takes to pay their staff. Not so classy.
Environment
When you first walk in you get a very rustic artsy and airy vibe. The restaurant is located in a type of art plaza. It's unique because most of the space is outside with a bar located on the inside. A bunch of greenery that adds to the aesthetic. It's simply beautiful. Great for date nights, happy hours, or just a nice meal. I would go back just to be in the space and have a drink.
Service
Our server was great, friendly and very helpful with discussing with us items on the menu. and knowledgeable.
Food and drinks
What can I say the food was great. The cream biscuits and ham were delightful. The roasted duck breast was soo tasty especially with the tangerines. I enjoyed everything. Delicious. Next time I'm back in DTLA this is a go to spot.

Food/Drinks: Food was delicious. Our server recommended the cream biscuits to start, and her suggestion was on point. Best flaky bread I've ever had! I personally ended up having their venison burger, and it has earned being one of their most popular dish for a reason. It was recommended medium rare and it was super juicy. However, the best dish we had was the shared roasted cauliflower dish. It was seasoned amazingly well and I highly would recommend this as your filler!
Service/Ambiance: Top notch. Server was really knowledgeable on immediately started recommending dishes. Throughout our entire meal, other staff members would come by and clear our dishes as we finish them and provided new utensils. Huge plus. And obviously cannot disregard the views/ambiance! Outdoorsy feel and not chilly since they had heaters on.
