Santa Monica Proper Hotel truly stands out as a superb accommodation choice in the Santa Monica area. With its elegant ambiance and attentive staff, it's a definite must for travelers. The property offers a wealth of amenities, including premium shower products, a well-appointed fitness facility with cold plunge, and exceptional dining options. The rooftop pool adds a touch of luxury to the experience and they make great cocktails at calabra. The staff's professionalism and warmth further enhance the overall stay. For those seeking refined comfort and impeccable service, Santa Monica Proper Hotel exceeds expectations and we would definitely stay again. So impressed across the board.

The lobby was crowded when we arrived and our room was not ready despite it being around 4pm. This was a nuisance but the front desk staff quickly made up for it by giving us a food and beverage credit, and taking us to the restaurant beside the very nice roof-top bar and pool. The manager, Pia, was particularly excellent—finding us a quiet table to relax with our kid, and suggesting some outstanding food options.

Much later that night, I returned for a drink at the bar and the same manager not only remembered me and arranged for an after-hours snack, but even remembered my daughter's name. A+ service. The room was very nice and pleasantly quiet. In the morning, we had brunch in the downstairs restaurant. Food and were excellent. Will return to this place. Highly recommend.

Don’t stay here unless you want 100’s of the loudest minimum wage employees on strike with megaphones and sirens waking you up at 6 and parading around every morning, all morning

Just stayed at Santa Monica Proper Hotel for the first time this past weekend and all I can say is WOW! I’m an interior designer and Kelly Wearsler lover so it’s been on my bucket list to stay here and it did not disappoint! From the Spa, to the design, food, amenities, staff, EVERYTHING was absolute perfection! The staff were the friendliest I’ve experienced in a long time at a hotel. The beds are extremely comfortable and the rooms are very sound proof so you will sleep like a baby here which is very important to me. The hotel is absolutely stunning and I can’t wait to return again soon!

Lovely hotel. Good service. I wish I had been able to eat at the restaurant but they had very limited vegetarian options. Would be great to have more when we return next year ????

Ok hotel, customer service poor. Left behind valuable item, first they told me they couldn't find it then when I told them there was an air tag on it they miraculously found it. Still waiting for the hotel manager to call me back and organise its return. AVOID if you can stay somewhere that you'll be taken care of because its certainly not here. They take your money and run.

Perfect! I love this room so much my mom, my dad, and my brother love it! Perfect bathroom size and it’s beautiful! The tv is Apple TV which is one of the things I love the most. Lots of outlets to plug in chargers and devices. Perfect seating and bed is so comfy! The location is so close to all the food restaurants and it’s in the perfect spot. There is a openable window and you can view the perfect outside! Luxurious!
