or they are just simply racist.
Even it’s not a cheap place.
Food 3 out of 10.
The staff was ok could of done better, atmosphere and the view was great but not worth the hype,
however this is just my opinion and experience if your a YouTuber or influencer then this is your spot for sure.
Going to be coming back for sure. ????
Our reservation is at 6 pm on Thursday and we’ve arrived at 5:20 pm. Took us to a corner patio table beside the wall with a minimal view of the ocean and sunshine when there was a large space of available seatings. I asked the server if we could switch to a table over there and he told me those seatings were closed today because of windy weather, but actually they were available and fully occupied by those who came later than us????what’s the point for us to make the reservation and arrive early? For food, corn chowder and lobster risotto are good, but others are terrible: 1) we found sand in oysters…plz don’t tell me it’s fresh. We’ve been to many other restaurants and they did a great job in cleaning; 2) ordered a medium-rare ribeye and this would be the worst one we’ve had. The outer layer is full of burns and I don’t think it’s due to Maillard's reaction. The first piece is totally overcooked. The server took the ribeye away and later came back and showed that the chef cut the other piece and said it’s normal that some parts are overcooked…if that would be a case I could even make a better steak. The other piece is rare, which is very funny to see such a dichotomy on a steak. Last but not least, we did not receive a little cake that we were informed when we made the reservation for our anniversary dinner. We did not expect a cake but if you told us you would please at least do so…It’s our first time choosing a non-Michelin restaurant to celebrate our special occasion, but turns out it ruined our night. I think we should still go for some insured good restaurants in the future if that would take us 3 hrs to drive back and forth. Overall, not recommended at all.
Fik en Salmon salat, som var fantastisk.
In specific, I would like to thank their hostess, "Jo-Z", for her phenomenal customer service, patience, and up beat attitude.
When we first entered my wife and I were incredibly flustered due to the toxicity we encountered driving on the PCH to Geoffrey's. We entered in a huff and were very upset so we were not pleasant.
This all changed when we met Jo-Z. She has a smile that can light up a life (and certainly a room), and she was so pleasant to us when we were checking in for our meal.
Jo-Z then walked us to our table and listened to our venting. This completely changed our day and we were able to relax and enjoy our dinner.
My wife was very impressed by this young woman's excellent professionalism, and after she had returned to her hostess stand my wife said that this girl saved our marriage.
Because unfortunately we came out to dinner due to our personal problems (and to plan a potential separation), and my wife said that my ability to calm down and be optimistic is how she wants me to always behave.
I have a problem with my anger and I was incredibly angry after the PCH driving experience, but luckily I was able to calm down.
However, I was only able to do this because of the angelic nature of Jo-Z.
Thank you so much to Jo-Z and Geoffrey's Malibu. The food, views, and service were also 5 star.
You saved our marriage!
We didn’t valet but instead parked on the street which isn’t too far of a walk.
On entering, the staff were nice and friendly, always smiling and greeting, it seemed like they really liked their job which makes the environment feel good.
Our waiter was really funny and nice. Came around enough and at the perfect times when we were ready to order drinks and other items.
This place is definitely worth the price, really recommend the food.
I am definitely coming back
“You got a reservation at… GEOFFREYS!?!”
Apparently her friends in NYC were saying it was their dream to eat there someday. No surprise having experienced it myself now. It’s well known for its incredible food, breathtaking ocean views and elegant ambiance.
As with most of the aforementioned, there’s a high price to pay. That became clear as the valet parked my old scion in a crowded lot filled with Lamborghinis and rare cars. The menu for the day was a preselected set just for Valentine’s but still provided a diverse selection of fresh, high-quality dishes, expertly crafted to satisfy various palates.
Although the prices reflect the upscale nature of the restaurant, the impeccable service and culinary excellence made it a worthwhile splurge for such a special occasion. The attention to detail in both presentation and flavors elevated the overall dining experience, making Geoffrey's a standout choice for those seeking the best of the best in a refined taste of Malibu.
