This was the coziest spot with the best service. When our neighbors partied all night (which we were told is not the normal clientele) and kept us from sleeping, we talked to the office and they were able to move us into a different (even bigger) room free of charge for the next night. Amazing service. Coffee in the rooms, bathroom amenities, free bike rentals, all you can ask for. Super walkable to the great eats and drinks and the beach. Worth the splurge and way nicer than a hotel. Highly recommend this place!

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Parking is tight but for a quaint place it's worth it.

Location is close to the beach and many restaurants too. Rooms are cozy and very cute, they also have everything one may need during the stay

Fabulous stay and so hard to leave! Support this wonderfully run family business and take advantage of the bikes! Best way to get around such a wonderful place! Staff is superb!!!

I can not say enough good things about the Harbor House Inn! All of the reviews are right. This place is the real deal. Everything was perfect! The room was spotless and VERY comfortable. The setting is ideal, which includes thoughtful seating areas throughout the property. There's a basket of snacks that was always stocked full in the lobby area. Just help yourself! Also, they let you borrow bikes and beach chairs for no cost! No resort fees, none of that here, just a great place to stay for a very fair price. Also, the location is perfect, one block from the beach and fantastic spots for breakfast! I want to go back already! I'd DEFINITELY recommend the Harbor House Inn! I'd give a review of 6 stars if I could!

We loved our stay here! The manager/owner gave us great recommendations on hikes in the area! The location is perfect and walkable into town but quiet in the evenings. The room was perfect. We used their complementary bikes to ride to the butterfly beach and it was awesome! Would stay here again and recommend to friends/family! Thanks!

Perfect spot for a weekend trip to Santa Barbara!

I recently stayed at Harbor House in Santa Barbara and had a fantastic experience. The staff, especially Cody, was incredibly friendly and provided excellent local recommendations. The rooms were well-appointed with everything needed for a week-long stay. A major plus was the complimentary rental of beach towels and bikes, making our trip even more enjoyable. I had a lovely time and will undoubtedly choose Harbor House for all future visits to Santa Barbara.

The location is hard to beat. I stayed in the modern queen studio, and it was extremely comfortable for two people. Customer service was great, and the hotel was quiet, safe and peaceful. I would stay here again without a doubt. Parking might be a little tight during busy season, but I dont think a car is needed in Santa Barbara anyway. Great place. So happy I found it. Best price deal is to book directly through their website.

Compelled to write a review since there are so many and almost only 5 star reviews and I’ll tell you why. The inn is well located, within minutes to the beach and restaurants. The building layout and architecture is aesthetically pleasing. The rooms are large, almost like a little apartment with the couchs, kitchenette and two tvs. The desk in there raises and lowers which is awesome and a phone charger incase you need it. So there is attention to detail and quality. There is no pool, spa or room service so they were able to focus on the rooms which they achieved. There was even a little patio. Bed was comfortable although comforter was quite thin and the room was a little dusty but I ignored given the price I paid. I’m traveling on budget and during the week so for $170 rate no problem no complaints although I see that this place typically ranges from $200-300 a night and so at that rate what they offer is to be expected in my opinion and nothing special. Otherwise it is well maintained, nice staff and no noise.

This place is such a gem! My partner and I have stayed here twice with our families and only have good things to say. Rooms are clean and spacious, the people at the front desk are always so kind, and the location is amazing.

Things we loved:
- Rooms are SUPER clean and modern, but still have lots of character. They also come equipped with lots of extra little amenities that make a big difference, like new dish soap and sponges for the kitchen, makeup remover wipes, etc.
- Between our families and ourselves, we've seen 5 of the rooms. The photos on the website are super accurate, which is helpful when you're picky (e.g. some rooms have a bigger bathroom and shower, some have full-service kitchens with a stove, etc.).
- Free snacks near the front desk (we're sad that they got rid of their breakfast banana bread, but happy that they still provide fresh fruit and lots of other snacks!).
- Only 2-3 minutes from the beach, and 10-15 minutes to downtown by foot.
- Parking is always so easy! There's usually ample parking in the courtyard, the larger rooms come with guaranteed parking, and there's also always lots of safe street parking right in front.
- Free bike rentals, super fast and easy to get to the beachfront trail from the hotel!

Awesome place, super nice and clean rooms with a lot of attention to detail. Outstanding staff as well, especially Paul! Harbor House Inn is one of the best hotel experiences I’ve ever had.
