HOTEL LA GALERÍA

Wir haben im Oktober 2023 im "La Gelería" zwei Nächte verbracht und auch das Frühstück gebucht. Die Lage des Hotels ist ganz wunderbar, nicht direkt in der City, aber trotzdem nah genug um fußläufig alles zu erreichen. Das Hotel liegt zudem fast direkt am wunderschönen Strand, nur durch eine Straße getrennt. Das Hotel hat uns sehr gefallen! Wir haben dieses charmante, sehr gepflegte und saubere Hotel mit seinem tollen Personal direkt zu unseren Favoriten im Baskenland hinzugefügt und werden ganz sicher bald wieder kommen! Bitte immer darauf achten, dass die Preise je nach Jahreszeit und Veranstaltungskalender von San Sebastian, stark variieren.

el chico de recepción muy agradable,el segundo día nos cambiaron de habitación,al igual que nuestro equipaje que ellos subieron cuando nosotros no estábamos,,nos desapareció una sudadera nueva sin estrenar la cual reclamamos sin ningún resultado y encima se indignaron,habitación pequeña la cama incomoda,la limpieza no muy buena,viajo mucho y no repito en este hotel no lo regomoendo

I paid €230 for a Monday night stay on a day with no special events going on in town.

Upon check-in, I was given my room key and number with directions to find the elevator and even which way to turn after I exited the elevator. Standard experience for a hotel, but that's where it ended. I then proceeded to hunt for my room door in at hallway filled with unmarked doors. I thought I had gone mad, what hotel doesn't have room numbers? I am not one to rush to ask for help, so I search EVERYWHERE for a number on all the doors before giving up and returning to the front desk. The staff member said "oh yes, we've removed all the numbers because we're getting new numbers". I'm no hospitality customer service expert, but mentioning you're running a mad house of a hotel with no numbers on the doors seems like it should be stated twice upon check-in along with a map or escort to find the room.

The room was supplied with 2 towels and a floor mat, nothing else, and I searched everywhere. The 2 towels were smaller and about as thin as the pillowcases on the bed. Honestly, you're better off removing the pillowcases and drying yourself with them after a shower. Pretty sad for the price they charge.

The AC in my room was broken and would only recirculate the air, not cool it. I sweat all night and got almost no sleep. A few hours before the sun came up I couldn't take it anymore, went for a long walk, returned around 8am, and it felt like walking into a humid swamp when I entered my room. Fun times for €230!

Hotel singular en la playa de Ondarreta y a media hora del centro de San Sebastián paseando por el paseo marítimo. Las habitaciones, (conocimos dos), son amplias, luminosas y cómodas, con vistas al mar, pero mejorarían con detalles de decoración y equipamiento más moderno en el baño.

El equipo de la recepción y la cafetería excepcional, tuvimos un par de problemas y los solucionaron rápido.

El desayuno es algo escaso de oferta pero suficiente y la encargada encantadora.

Difícil aparcar dentro del hotel porque los huéspedes lo llenan enseguida, fuera fácil pero con la limitación diurna, máximo tres horas, de los parquímetros.

Relación calidad/precio muy buena.

We Stayed at Hotel La Galería for two nights in June. It is a great place to stay, not only is it 15 min from the city centre we were impressed with the amenities in the hotel room. The service was also exceptional as was breakfast.

The only improvement that we can suggest is for there to be some form of information on the bathroom wall on how the shower works, since it took us a while to figure out how it works.

Overall, this hotel was absolutely worth the price and we will consider it again when visiting San Sebastián.
