HOLIDAY INN HOTEL & SUITES SLIDELL ^{* * *}

Good experience, great staff, and good location.

The booking process was quick and easy. It was completed online. I followed up with a phone call the day prior to check in to request a room with a king sized bed and to let her know that we'd be checking in late. The young lady upgraded us to a king suite. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. I had traveled almost four hours to the area for a surgery the next day. After the long drive late in the evening, we were tired when we checked in and appreciated that the process took two to three minutes at most. I have my room preferences set in my profile and they honored them all: king size bed, extra pillows, upper floor and far from the elevator. There was hot complimentary breakfast available, but due to my medical appointment, I did not partake. The young lady at check out the next morning was equally friendly and efficient. Check out went smoothly and I made it to Our Lady of the Lake Surgical Hospital well before my scheduled check in because it was conveniently 1 mile away at the next exit. I highly recommend this location.

DO NOT STAY AT THIS LOCATION!!!!! VERY UNCLEAN AND STINKS!!!! ????If I could give 0 stars I would. As soon as we got off the elevator the hallway reek so bad like they haven’t cleaned this place or took out the trash in months. As soon as we got into our room we checked our sheets as always and there was a roach running when I pulled the sheets back!!! Small enough where you know there’s plenty where that came from. Absolutely disgusting. You can tell they never clean or keep up with this hotel! I’ve never stayed at a terrible holiday inn! They also wouldn’t give us our money back not even 5 mins after we just paid for the room. Then trying to contact customer service was extremely unhelpful i was transferred at least 12 times. Unexpectedable. Looks are deciving this place looks much better from the outside. I will never book here again!!!!!

I found a German cockroach in my room. I called the front desk to see if they had anything I could use besides a shoe to take care of it. They said no and hung up on me. I also found some spiders as well. The breakfast on weekdays was pathetic but not bad on weekends. I also used the ice machine and found numerous black flakes in my drink. Would not stay there again.
