LA QUINTA INN BY WYNDHAM NEW ORLEANS SLIDELL ^{* *}

The reason for my score is that i booked this hotel because it advertise certain amenities that I needed for my business trip and on arrival I realized it did not had any. The fitness room was "out of service" and the internet, although functional in the lobby, did not work on my room. Several of the TV channels were not watchable, so i guess the hotel does not have cable. And non of the ice machines work. The people there were very nice, very accommodating and welcoming, I don't believe this is their fault, as I truly think they were doing the best they can. But I was very surprise to find the hotel in this condition. This is the second time a "La Quinta" hotel has disappointed me I will never stay there again.

Rooms are dirty, lights didn't work,no back on the remote control. Channels were out of service. Booked with discover card only to get there and realize there don't take discover cards due to a glitch in their system! A TON OF DRUG USE! ESPECIALLY around the pool area! We almost witnessed several kid drownings! While one parent was nodding off in the pool! Also a group of guys was doing drugs at the pool. People walk off and leave their small children at the pool unsupervised! They was meeting up at a room to do drugs! Anyone can go in the pool even though we were told you had to have a bracelet and we were the only ones wearing them! There is mildew in the rooms. It was a mess!

Everything was so pretty and clean and would tell everyone about this place

This has been one of the worst properties we have visited. The pictures online do not reflect the quality of the hotel. The hotel was old, nasty smelling, and stained torn carpet. Our room was dirty upon checkin. Bug poop on the beds, mold on the walls, floor unswept, broken lights, and taped up mirror. Went to the front desk, and they told us we could get a refund through Expedia. We called Expedia who called the hotel to verify the info and “Cassie” denied everything! We drove straight back to and talked to Cassie who had a very nasty attitude and refused at first to refund us saying the room was clean. She also told us that it didn’t matter what the rest of the hotel looked it as we were only paying for the room. Why would you want to stay somewhere that was nasty is beyond me. She said the pictures that were shown if the room were when the hotel first opened! After 10 minutes of going back and forth Cassie finally said she would issue a refund. A week later I still did get a refund and had to reach out to Expedia to get a refund.

This hotel is located next to great places to grab something to eat, shop, and drink. The friendly staff is awesome and professional and work as a team. Breakfast was light to get you started for the day. The pool was everything, spacious, beautiful seating areas, great scenery to take lots of pictures because of the foliage. Also what I have never seen is a chair for the physically impaired to enjoy the pool as well. Just a great place
