This was a lovely stay. The house is charming, and the hostess was very kind and welcoming. Emily, the ghost, did not interfere with our stay at the B&B. The house is located close to touristic attractions.

This is the cutest bed and breakfast! My husband and I stayed here for our anniversary weekend and it was perfect! The room was just as the website showed and the bed was sooooo comfortable! The main host was so sweet and welcoming! Only downside is that it is on a very noisy road so you can hear a lot of traffic ???? if noise bothers you a lot bring ear plugs! Other than that we really enjoyed our stay and will be back soon!

The owner is really friendly and helpful. He's put a lot of work into preserving this beautiful old house. The rooms feel like you stepped into the past.

Our group rented the whole house for the weekend and enjoyed it so much. The beds were very comfortable and the rooms were all so nice. Donna was so nice and helpful. We'll definitely be back next year, if not sooner.

My husband and I stayed here for our 13th stay-cation wedding anniversary! It was my second time staying and his first time. We absolutely loved it! The owner was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The house and rooms were really clean, spacious and it felt like home away from home. The amenities were great and the mattress was super comfy! A little bit of Cajun spice right near home. Just what we wanted and needed! Near all the restaurants and places to enjoy a date night. We 100% recommend and hope to visit again soon. Thanks for being apart of our Chapter - Lucky #13 :)

Wow!! This place was absolutely amazing. The service was impeccable and the staff was so helpful and accommodating. Our room was super clean. The decor was so authentic. This is now my #1 place to stay when visiting the Lafayette area.

Great bed and breakfast at a great price! The innkeeper, Donna, was lovely...and makes a great breakfast! The owner was very friendly and hospitable and greeted us personally, and then called to make sure everything was to our satisfaction! Would definitely recommend.

Beautiful historic home and we felt welcomed from the moment we arrived! The location was close to downtown with convenient parking. T’Frere’s was very clean, thoughtfully decorated, and everyone was friendly and welcoming. There was some noise from traffic, but it didn’t bother my husband or me-more of a background ‘white noise’ than anything else. We loved it here and recommended it to anyone looking for a historic, charming, happy, and possibly haunted place to stay!!

Nous nous sommes régalés au petit déjeuner et il y a toujours des boissons maison dans le frigo pour les invités.
Le seul bémol est l’emplacement près du grande route et le bruit généré par celle ci. Si comme nous vous avez atterri un ou deux jours plutôt d’un vol européen avec le jetlag cela ne posera pas de soucis.

We were on our way back frm New Orleans & sleepy so made a last minute decision to sleep in at T’Frere’s House by chance. Best decision! Donna & Sal were so welcoming with such gracious hospitality. We stayed in the Fais do do room. The room gave off a comfy quiet homely feeling. The bed was super comfortable & sheets were nice & crisp & bedding smells of fresh laundry. Read a little about the place once there & would have never thought such a beautiful place was over a century old. The aesthetics of the house had a vintage appeal & the art that surrounded it was elegantly beautiful giving a nice touch of class. We’re ghost enthusiasts & lucked out unknowingly that the place was haunted. Unfortunately, no ghostly encounters of Amelia but the thought itself was enough to give off an eerie feeling but still slept like a babies. Haha! Breakfast was delicious too! Definitely coming back in December this year!

This bed & breakfast lodge is absolutely amazing. Built in the late 1800s it still looks pristine. Also, was very fortunate to meet the new owner, since purchasing the property several months ago he has been making improvements throughout the property to help preserve it for many more years. Lastly, Donna was awesome, she gave us the tour of the rooms that were not occupied and gave us a breakdown of the history of the property. Will definitely be coming back very soon!

I spent two comfortable nights in the upstairs 1890 Room, which despite the name has a TV, a coffee maker, and a lot of charm. Mr. Sal and Ms. Donna were friendly and very helpful, and the historic house has been beautifully restored. I will definitely return!

I booked 6 rooms for 2 nights for a tour group from New Orleans. Everyone commented on how comfy the beds were! Breakfast was delicious also. The hosts were very friendly and accommodating, even when our arrival was pushed from 8pm to 1am. I would stay again, both when visiting with my family or with a tour group! Thanks Team T'frere's for a GREAT stay!!

On a trip from the East Coast to the West Coast, we found T'Frere's House BnB on Google Maps. Looked interesting and fun. How often can you stay in a house that's over 140 years old. From the start, our stay was fantastic. Our host Donna was very friendly, warm and inviting. When we asked about good places to eat some Southern Cajun food, she pulled out menu's from local restaurants she had collected and shared info on each one and then based off our feedback, gave us a great recommendation, which we loved! When we got up the next morning, Donna was in the kitchen preparing our breakfast along with Kevin, their fixit man. I sat down and had a great conversation with them and felt like I was part of the family. Again, both Donna and Kevin were very friendly, warm and inviting. Great examples of that Southern hospitality! The French Toast Donna made for breakfast was 5 STARS great! Loved it. As for our room, we stayed in the Mardi Gras room. The bed was comfortable and we slept well. The house was fun to walk through and look at all the craftsmanship. Donna was more than willing to share stories and some of the history of the area and the house.
The pictures attached are of a model of the house, which was hand made by a man that grew up in the house. The "Edison Electric Light" plaque is located in the front hallway and then the house lit up at night.
If you are looking for a different experience than the standard hotel to stay in, please consider staying in T'Frere's House. You won't be disappointed.
