The hotel is less than 7 minutes walk from the beach. Its rooms are spacious and all have balconies which give a pool view. The AC and warm water in the rooms worked well during our stay. The breakfast was good and had several options to choose from.

This hotel is a joke. I booked it because of the good reviews, turns out, they probably delete everything Bad very fast. Good things first, the hotel was very clean, there was nothing to complain. The food was good, most times. For the dinner we waited about one hour (we were the only guests in the restaurant), the fish still was raw, the staff didn’t really understood us. The breakfast was so small.. they had 3 kind of fruit (the same every day), 2-3 bread or biscuits, the jam was almost empty almost every day. Also, the dining was outside, so in the morning you had to fight with the bees to get the last bit of jam. The pancakes were one positive thing. They didn’t had cheese, sausage (one day), or any more selection. For a hard boiled egg, you gotta wait to 20 minutes. That’s the breakfast. You was hungry again after one hour.. the electricity fails often in Sansibar, this is clear. But the generator at this hotel got broken too, so 2 days no electricity. All other hotels had their power failure fixed long ago, we was sitting in the dark. Our fridge didn’t work, we went to the reception 4 times a day. They brought us two more, not functionable fridges. We went to the reception again, day for day, but they did not understand us and after day 7, we gave up. The shower didn’t work, there was no pressure, and sometimes there was some boiling water coming out, so showering wasn’t possible. Also the ac didn’t work the first day and after it was really weak. I recommend to stay away from this hotel. Nice place, looks good, but there are way too many problems. Also they didn’t brought us fresh water or changed towels. Not worth any money.

The staff is amazing, they make this hotel tolerable. Really dont understand the good reviews, this place feels like the owner tried to save money on every bit of things when it was built:
- the rooms’ condition feels like it was 20-30 years old,
- either cold water or hot from the tap
- no mosquito net in the bathroom window
- wifi not working in 80% of time

I can't say enough good things about the staff, special thanks to the receptionist and also the young man waiter in the restaurant we had every morning for breakfast! Rooms are basic, but you know that is going to be the case if you do your research before booking, so no surprises there. The location is very near to the beach, which is great. A nice spot to stay if you're looking for a more local experience. That being said, the beach is public, so be prepared for the "beach boys", they are incessant.

Nungwi Garden Boutique Hotel and restaurant is eloquent, lively and outright fantastic in every aspect imaginable. In so far as there are many hotels, villas and apartments in Nungwi; this place is just awesome. It's less than 5 minutes to the beach. The service is exemplary. The staff literally go out of their way to make the visitor's experience a memorable one. The hospitality starts right from the reception, the stay all the way to the departure. The ambience of the place spells a vacation mood for visitors from about everywhere. Their rooms are so clean and spacious, complete with accompanying dedicated room service and free WiFi. The setup of the place is perfect for honeymooners with magnificently decorated rooms with mosquito nets, even though I didn't get to see any.. (happy face)
The restaurant serves great meals with an eccentric taste of local flavours. Whether you're travelling as a couple, in a group tour or indeed as individuals the stay is promised to be memorable. In addition to the adventures that the hotel organises for the client such as scuba diving, swimming with the dolphins, snokling, boat cruises to nearby islands, sites and more; there's also airport transfers, bike hire, spa/ massage parlour, a medium sized swimming pool and hair saloon for visitors who want to have an African experience. This is open to non-resident walk-in customers. The plain Caucasian hair can be locked into styles that are indigenous to African tribes and cultures for a totally unique style to match the exotic experience. The outcome is simply awesome. The airport is approximately 70km (43 miles) away and the area is usually accessed by medium sized coaches from Stone town, though direct arrivals through the beach by yacht are not exceptions. Within the area, boda bodas (2 wheeled open motor bikes) are used for transportation.
The night spots are within short distances from the hotel. It's definitely a place to visit for a magical experience.

I went here for a the dinner and dessert.
Their wraps are amazing and the coconut cake is very tasty, they have a nice pool and the owner Rachid is very friendly.
If you are looking for dessert and wrap you should go there.

Located at The Heart of Nungwi beneath Horse club Nungwi Garden is a place to reside with you family. As they offer family rooms at an affordable rates. The swimming pool with elegant risen floor restaurant offers amazing view to the beam

I was in the spa to have a massage I took out golden necklace worth 200 eur on the table on the side of the bed and they stole it! No one took responsibility! Except the owner who offered 100 dollars as refund of the 2 massages I had.
Be careful with the employees here because people probably are not payed properly and they are stealing from the customers.

I stopped by for dinner one night since it was right next to my hotel and a couple from my dive boat that were staying there said it’s the best food they’d had in Nungwi. I was warmly welcomed in by their incredibly friendly staff. Since the buffet wasn’t ready yet, I ordered the catch of the day (tuna) from the menu, but was then generously invited to enjoy the food from the buffet as well! It included a delicious and fresh salad with mangoes, delicious pumpkin soup, and also delicious vegetable and rice dish. It was all incredible food! And to top it off they had brownies at the buffet that were perfectly rich and moist. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough!

Abbiamo soggiornato due settimane in questo hotel a un minuto dalla spiaggia di Nungwi. Personale gentilissimo e sempre sorridente. Ottima colazione anche se con poche varianti.
Le camere sono un attimo da rivedere ma a meno che non si vada in un resort, a Zanzibar è difficile trovare un hotel con tutti i comfort.

I ordered one night for $70. It was a very close to the Nungwi Beach just 3 minites walk. The beach boy will charge you 15000 tsh for 3 hours for bed & the umbrella on the public beach. There are solace and stuff in this uh hotel was perfectly nice. The lady from the reception is always with the big smile on her face. I arrived very earlier around 8 Am they give me another room for rest. Then I went to enjoy the beach then when I go back, my room is ready. Everything is perfect in this hotel room size is big, Actually the shower they use a new type of a shower which is very gentle mist very comfortable, the breakfast and simple but enough They do not waste food. So if you are going to order the eggs or fruit they We ask you exactly the quantity and type that you like. Only recommended if you are a budget traveler or travel with kids with big family. By the way, I paid $15 for sunset crews and another $45 for the safari blue, the beach boy offered the quotation and tour.

I was surprised to see so many postivive reviews of this hotel. Even for 3 star hotel it couldn’t manage the expectation. Our room was outdated, sloppy fixes in the bathroom (see pictures), sheets and towels were often dirty (needed to ask for exchange), etc. The place has been really nice some 10 years ago but not anymore. The staff was nice and helpful, food was good but unfortunately it didn’t help too much. Location was nice, few minutes from beach and really good restaurants. Also corner pub Che had character. I would select another hotel if I would be you.

Nejlepší jídlo z celého Nungwi. Nikdy jsem neměla lépe udělanou rybu, přítel ochutnal tu nejlepší chobotnici a kalamáry. Podávány jsou i variace omáček které opravdu obohatí chuťové pohárky. Při čekání na jídlo jsme jako pozornost dostali výbornou krémovou polévku s limetkou a teplým pečivem. Pití výborně vychlazené. Servírování 10/10. Obsluha pozorná a milá. Jestli se chcete skvěle najíst určitě se tam zastavte. Prostředí moc krásné. Velký bazén hned pod restaurací. Při příští návštěvě Zanzibaru bych zde velice zvažovala i ubytování.

Si mangia davvero molto bene e il personale è molto gentile. Polpo consigliatissimo, uno dei migliori mangiati qua a Zanzibar.
È segnalato poco e quando siamo arrivati noi era vuoto, il che ci aveva messo in allarme, invece siamo rimasti piacevolmente colpiti!

The best food we've found in Nungwi. And at very affordable price. Since we've tried it for the first time, we love it.
Their restaurant is 100% recommend for food lovers.

We weren’t staying at the hotel but we came to lunch every day because of the very tasty and affordable food and very pleasant service. Sulejman, with his smiling was our favorite waiter and he made our experience more beautiful! We also met the Chef who was very pleasant. Would recommend the chicken, beef and fish masala.If you are looking for very tasty food and great ambience - this is the right outdoor restorant!

Классное место. Удобно, до пляжа две минуты пешком. Номера отремонтированные, чистые. Убираются и бассейн чистят регулярно.

Es war ein wunderschöner , erholsamer Urlaub. Nettes Personal, schöne Zimmer , gutes Restaurant und Top Lage.
