HÔTEL-GASTHOF BERGHEIMAT ^{* * *}

We returned a few days ago from this wonderful hotel and beautiful place in the Bavarian mountains. We must admit that our expectations were met, but not only that, we received even more. From the moment of arrival when the appearance and location of the hotel brought a smile to our faces, to the lovely and comfortable reception with a smiling and kind hostess. A few days earlier, I received an email with the option to check-in online in advance, which we did. A few hours before arrival, I received an SMS confirmation as well as the opportunity to pick up the so-called guest card with various information and bonuses that the location offers us. Since we had already sent scanned passports, at the reception, we only needed to do a digital signature and received our room key.
The room was spacious and bright, on the first floor with a terrace, where there was a table with 2 chairs and a view of the surroundings. In the bathroom, everything you need and a deep bathtub in the shower cabin, so showering was carefree. We had bed and breakfast accommodation, and I haven't seen such a beautiful and large restaurant in typical Bavarian style for a long time. Upon arrival, we had the duty to check in at the restaurant, and there we were assigned a table that we had every morning (we stayed for 3 nights). Breakfast was quite sufficient, with fresh pastries, cold cuts, cheese, fruits, muesli, jams, margarine, yogurts, juices, coffee was from a dispenser - unfortunately - but it came in cute little jugs. As soon as you enter the restaurant, you are greeted by a smiling hostess in traditional Bavarian attire, offering you eggs in two variations. Everything was excellent and tasty. On the table, there was always an updated paper with information about the expected weather/temperature during the day. And since we were there during the Easter holidays on Sunday (on Palm Sunday), we were greeted with a box of 6 small boiled eggs in cute colorful foils.

The hotel's location is perfect. Within a few minutes, you are close to the cable car, and in the immediate vicinity, there are 2 excellent restaurants and one café-bakery. Since we had wonderful sunny days, we enjoyed sitting on the terrace of the restaurant and refreshing ourselves. The hotel has its restaurant which operates from 5 to 8 pm, but we didn't try dinner at the hotel (we saw that a crowd of guests was on half board). Parking was no problem at all. All in all, we are thrilled and can't wait to come back to the same place and hotel. I want to commend the hosts for our very pleasant stay in that heavenly area, and we look forward to the next opportunity to repeat the visit. Thank you for our unforgettable Easter!
