Great place to eat in carillo! The food was excellent and the ambiance was nice. The only unpleasant point was the service, or lack there of. Overall I will go back again. The gentlemen working the grill were the friendliest, most welcoming of the experience. And they grilled a delicious Delmonico over a wood fire. The aromas permeating made my mouth water! The only contact we had with the waiter was when he pretty bluntly stated to my wife and I, “ you have to move to that table.” No “please”, no “sorry to have to ask” and no “thank you.”then when he took our order. Someone else brought our food to the table. The waiter never came back to check how it was cooked or if we needed anything. There were no napkins on the table and my wife ended up getting up and finding some off another table. By the way menu says tip IS NOT included, but bill had 10% automatically included. Smart on them because service justified $0. However, the food was fantastic and the portion size more than adequate. The grill Chefs thanked us on the way out, and we let them know the food was delicious!

Very, very nice people. They went out of our way to help us. I felt like family. We stayed for 3 nights and ate at the 5 star restaurant! I've never had a steak this good! You could cut it with a knife and the flavor was out of this word! We also enjoyed the 2 swimming pools! I highly recommend this this place!!!

Fernando and Roxana run the best place i've stayed at in a long time. The most courteous hotel staff and restaurant was to die for order the steak and I am from Montana where they have excellent beef, but this beat where I live. We also had the ribs with an orange mustard sauce that was excellent.

You should make a reservation if you want to g for dinner, they are usually full.

Only did the restaurant, not the hotel. Although I like occasional steak, I am not a steak person, especially after a hot day on the beach. So, this review is tainted by having ordered non-steak dishes. Not great. Mine was an Argentinian specialty, a sort of thin dry breaded chicken-of-some-sort cutlet that was just short tasting like an old shoe. However, my wife had chicken fajitas, which was somewhat better, but unusually in a sort of teriyaki-soya sauce - definitely not Mexican. Stick to thesteak and you will likely write a better review than this one. Service was nice.
