Only one thing that I would hope to be changed for sustainability matters- in terms of room service it would be great if only those towels left on the floor would be exchanged, so that it‘s on the guest to decide on whether he/she wants to use them another time which I personally find totally ok, even in a (luxurious) hotel.
Ontbijt dezelfde slechte service. Geen communicatie over de twee buffetten. Geen communicatie over de mogelijke warme gerechten uit de keuken. Ook hier werden tafelbestellingen door elkaar gehaald.
Op elke koffie was het 10-15 min wachten, als deze al niet vergeten werd.
We waren graag positief geweest over ons verblijf, maar helaas is het ver zoeken naar pluspunten. Een hotel/restaurant van deze prijscategorie moet beter presteren.
The building and the aesthetics are spectacular, the restaurant is very good but pricy. The rooms are comfortable, allthough a bit warm if you don't want to use the AC during summertime, and bathrooms have lovely amenities from Le Labo. Breakfast is good. Spa area is nice but pricy. Surroundings are very nice and 'off the beaten path' Antwerp... and still close to the city centre.
The big downside of this beautiful hotel is the service. Inexperienced staff, insufficient restaurant staff and no 'real' attention to guests what to expect in such a small-scale luxury hotel.
The latter affects the overall experience and does not justify the rate guests have to pay for their stay nor what they have to pay in the restaurant. Very unfortunate because this hotel deserves better.
