PLANET HOLLYWOOD BEACH RESORT

I love Planet Hollywood Punta Cana and Cancun, but this one is not a PlanetHollywood. This hotel in Costa Rica should not carry the planet hollywood name. What a disaster of a Hotel. The room had mold as the pictures prove it. They lock the mini fridge. The food is a 0. Burger meat and pork for lunch like a Golden Corral but much worse. The beach has to be the ugliest beach in Costa Rica. The pool was close. Sewage problems. All public bathroom are nasty and smell bad. Whatever you do dont take any rooms by the main building. The AC blows right into your head at night. Paper thin walls with your neighbors. Got waken up at 5am with service trucks. This hotel should be a 2 star at most. They are super cheap with everything that they do. Management should be changed. No respect for customers. Do your self a favor and skip this hotel! I have never in my life taken such a horrible trip. I came home disgusted from what was suppose to be a wonderful experience.

I got married at this resort back in 2021. I opted for a destination wedding because I wanted something elegant but simple. Boy, was I wrong! I had a coworker that got married at an all inclusive resort in Cancun and she kept ranting and raving on how easy it was to plan her wedding. She was given a document with all the food, decorations, and other services provided along with individual prices. So basically, select what you want with a visual and a price. Not here. The wedding coordinator, Maria, was nice enough, but kept me guessing on how much certain items would be. Specially the decorations. I couldn’t get a clear idea of what I was going to get nor the price. This was completely frustrating and time consuming as we would have multiple emails going on between us with a slow progress.

It was so frustrating, I’m here writing a review 2 years later.

Next, the photographer was HORRIBLE. I kept asking for the name of my photographer so I could see his previous work, but I never received his info. We got married in July when the humidity was intense. Both my husband and I were sweating profusely during the photo shoot outside. I voiced my concern on what the photos would look like. Multiple times I was assured that the photos would be edited and we would both look amazing. WRONG. when I got my “edited” pictures back, it looked like raw unfiltered/unedited photos taken by an amateur. To make matters worse, I took the time to circle sweat beads off my face, or other unwanted visuals, like a hand sanitizer station or waiter in the background, but the photographer refused to make any “additional” edits. To him, changing the filter from color to black and white was sufficient enough.

Needless to say, when I return back to the states, I had to send all of my photos to another professional pay an additional fee to get them to look decent.

On the actual day of the wedding, Maria said that she would be hands-on and working behind the scenes to make sure everything was running smoothly. Again, this was not the case. My wedding party was pretty small under 20 people and not everyone got served at the same time, there was confusion on when the main dance should happen, cutting the cake, and other issues. At the end of the wedding, they would not let me take a piece of my cake or my flowers Back to my room!!!! Mind you the centerpieces were extremely expensive and very small.

Overall horrible experience I’m so disappointed that we paid so much money and got a mediocre wedding

Muy buena experiencia está en este lugar me sinto una estrella de Hollywood ????????✌????.. la comida ,los drinks las habitaciones super chiva .. y como podemos disfrutar bien de los entretenimientos del lugar super show desde los espectáculos en la tarima y los Brasileños. mangueando que tocan y cantan muy bien.. una equipe super eficiente que trabajan ahí. Gracias por me hacer sentir una estrella. ⭐????

Planet Hollywood was AMAZING! I really enjoyed my stay. The entire resort and our room was extremely clean. The food at the Asian restaurant was our favorite! We did the hibachi show and chef Rafael and hostess William were awesome! I did a full body massage and Lauren was so good! Overall great customer service and beautiful views. Can’t wait to come back!
