During my stay, I received a notification about the hotel's weekly pesticide treatment. Despite being offered the option to relocate to another room, the lingering effects of these chemicals remained a concern. Pesticides contain harmful chemicals that pose risks to both human health and the environment, with potential long-term effects.
The indiscriminate use of pesticides can disrupt ecosystems, harm beneficial insects, and contaminate the environment. Adopting sustainable and environmentally-friendly practices extends beyond water usage and towel reuse; it also involves employing natural, non-toxic treatments for pests—of which there are many!
I encourage the hotel to reconsider their reliance on pesticides and explore safer alternatives. Until then, I hesitate to endorse this establishment wholeheartedly. Our well-being and the health of our planet should always be prioritized over convenience and aesthetics.
