LE KON TIKI

In het huisje zou t fijn zijn om een pas spiegel te hebben. Ook zou t wenselijk zijn bij zo’n goede koffie om een melk opschuimer te hebben. De Tiki Spa is voor behandelingen drama.... geen goede elektrische stoel en het ziet er erg karig uit. Geen Tiki klasse.... Bij het restaurant gaat t mis als je drinken op t strand besteld, 45 minuten wachten op 2 cappuccino en een fles water is heel normaal. Ook tafels reserveren bij t restaurant gaat niet zoals t hoort. Als je flink tekeer gaat krijg je zeker je gewenste tafel anders kom je ergens achterin te zitten.

It is with regret that I have to give Kon Tiki some lower ratings this year than I have previously. Our main issue was that the Tiki Club DJ was far too loud on 4 of the nights out of the 7 nights we stayed. He started at around 9pm and the music just got louder and louder until around 1am. He played the same set each time, 4 times in one week, and each of these nights was ruined for us.
We stayed in TH05. I don't see how this kind of entertainment is appropriate for a family resort (your motto is Family Resorts by Nature). In fact, we saw many families walk away from the Tiki Club when they heard the music or leave as soon as the DJ started. Many of those who book front row Tiki Huttes do so because they are very convenient for families with young children. This will particularly be the case out of high season, when the children are not of school age (our daughter is 4). To disturb children's sleep un-necessarily is not to be expected of a luxury resort where we paid over £3000 for one week. It isn't like a hotel with a residents' bar where those who wish to stay and party can do so until the early hours, as those in the front row huts have no choice and are simply kept awake. It is very disrespectful to guests.
The club was busiest on the Friday night when they organised a very civilised Blonde of St Tropez event which children attended. The music was not loud and the event had a really family feel, which was nice to see. On the nights with the DJ, it was almost empty and in fact one night, it seemed that the DJ was simply playing to the staff (until 1am).
We have visited Kon Tiki for the past 12 years, staying in a Front Row Tiki Hutte around 10 times. We have always preferred to be in TH01 - TH06 as the Tiki Club was always a family orientated bar with a nice atmosphere. If there has been a decision by management to change this in to a club to compete with neighbouring bars such as Le Club 55, this should be made clear to guests as I would anticipate that not many families with young children would wish to be located near this. We were very disappointed. We have thoroughly enjoyed our previous stays in Kon Tiki, returning each year for this reason. Plus we have strongly recommended Kon Tiki to friends and family. This year, we do not feel we can recommend due to this particular issue.
It is only the DJ/noise from Tiki Club that we have complaint with. The rest of our stay was as perfect as always. It would be good to have a response from management of Kon Tiki on this issue. Thank you.

Séjour très agréable, dans un cadre somptueux. Les personnes de l'accueil sont très efficaces et sympathiques. Les activités du matin (Pilate et gym) sont les bienvenues. Bémol pour la piscine, un peu petite et reservée pour des activités pour les jeunes mais la mer est tellement plus agréable......mieux qu'un bain car la température de l'eau ne refroidit pas.......
