Simply superb. This beautiful hotel managed to exceed our high expectations! The stand out feature being the staff. Yes, the hotel is stunning, the beds huge and comfortable, the location perfect, and all the facilities excellent, but it was the staff who made it extraordinary. Arturo was the most helpful manager we’ve ever come across - he booked us restaurant reservations that were just perfect and delicious, he gave great advice and solved problems. Honestly, I would go to him for any life advice. All the advice was spot on. But the housekeeping team, the restaurant staff (thank you Pablo!), the doormen and everyone who we came into contact with were simply lovely. The spa is beautiful and despite it being very central the hotel is quiet and calm and walking distance to most things we wanted to do. Small touches like information on what’s on in Madrid that day left in the immaculate rooms make this an exceptional hotel. Cannot recommend highly enough. We shall return!

Quedamos encantados con este hotel! Las instalaciones, el ambiente y la atención muy top la verdad! Estuvimos en el lobby que casualmente coincidimos con la tarde de piano e hizo más grata nuestra estancia. Hay diferentes opciones en la carta desde café, chocolate caliente y churros hasta cocktailes, nosotros pedimos champán!
El precio es elevado , pero es lo que se espera en este tipo de establecimientos. Una grata experiencia.

Elegante y señorial fachada de este hotel, que cuando pasas por ahí te invita a entrar. Estuvimos en el lobby del hotel tomando unos vinos. Quizá lo mejor es lo tranquilo del espacio, amplio, sobrio, discreto, cómodo y con música de piano en directo. Buen servicio.

Es la tercera o cuarta vez que vamos al hotel URSO y no será la última. Esta vez hemos disfrutado de un fantástico brunch, todo de primerísima calidad y una gran cantidad. En un lugar precioso y una atención por parte de todo el personal de 10. Deseando volver otra vez.

Sólo puedo opinar del spa ya que no me aloje en el hotel. La verdad es que la entrada al hotel y el ambiente es relajante y sofisticado, pero a mí personalmente no me gustaron los tratamientos que contraté. En uno de ellos una técnica de cualquier establecimiento medianamente bueno pero sin ser excepcional ni de lejos, hay que tener en cuenta que el precio de un masaje de 60 minutos es realmente alto, y el segundo tratamiento directamente mal hecho. La persona que me lo hizo no sabía hacerlo. No fue en absoluto agradable. Era amable, eso sí.
El vestuario donde me llevaron para cambiarme era muy pequeño y al estar dos personas a la vez, tuve que esperar a que la otra se cambiara porque no podíamos hacerlo las dos a la vez.

No estuve alojada, estuve en un evento, por eso no puedo calificar las habitaciones, pero el personal muy amable y buscando solución a cualquier problema por pequeño que fuera. La ubicación no puede ser mejor

Estuve en su restaurante tomando una botella de vino con mis amigas, he de decir que es un sitio muy acogedor que te hace sentir muy a gusto. Me gustaría hacer mención especial al pianista que había tocando en directo, que tocó un par de canciones de Taylor Swift. Menudo artista

Excelente trato, todo el equipo del hotel nos atendió de forma exquisita. Muy buen ambiente y preciosa da decoración. La ubicación inmejorable. Muy recomendable. Sin duda volveremos. Hemos encontrado el sitio perfecto para pasar el fin de semana en Madrid .

Un hotel perfecto para envolverse de la cultura madrileña. Con espacios perfectos para relajarse y desconectar.

No hay mejor sitio para alojarse

I travel often, and I must say that this hotel has truly made an indelible mark on me. The hotel staff distinguishes themselves from all the other hotels I have had the pleasure of staying at, as their exceptional friendliness and politeness is commendable. The room service refresh rooms before sunset with chocolate on the pillow, water bottles, and the next day's forecast with suggestions for sightseeing. The staff goes above and beyond to ensure that every guest's needs are met, their genuine warmth and hospitality made me feel right at home.The bedding are extraordinary, starting with the cotton sheets that undoubtedly have a thread count surpassing 700, guaranteeing a pleasant restful sleep. The location is convenient, being in close proximity to the renowned Gran Via. The spa services offered are rejuvenating leaving me feeling completely relaxed. I truely loved my stay in Urso Madrid.

Wonderful. Quiet upscale neighborhood with beautiful architecture, delicious & plentiful breakfast, phenomenal spa, festive lobby decorated for Christmas, and live pianist nightly. Also, the olive oil served with dinner was amazing.

Disfrutamos del brunch, spa y masaje relajante. Todo perfecto. Si tengo que destacar algo por encima del resto, el masaje. Es lo mejor de las tres experiencias para mí, y creo que lo más equilibrado en calidad-precio.

The hotel is in a good location in Madrid- both convenient to the Salamanca area as well as the paseo de Recoletos/Plaza Mayor, yet relatively quiet and across the street from Mercado Barcelo. Rooms were comfortable and clean with great linens and robes. I appreciated the Nespresso machine as well as the daily treats and water left by housekeeping. Water pressure and temperature were excellent.

What’s the issue then?
We arrived around 1 pm from the airport, fatigued from a previous late night event. The front desk said that our room was not ready, but luckily for us, there was a different category room available the at had spa access as well as a palace view. I was confused. I thought we had already had spa access, I said, but he denied this. So tired and needing a soak, we took the upgraded rooms for 50€ additional per night (we had three rooms). The room was fine, with high ceilings and a French balconette. I threw open the curtains and saw a street and a wall. (see photo of a deluxe room with palace view) Maybe it was a palace wall? The building it surrounded was modern, so I doubt it. No worries. Went down to the pool/spa area (had to have an appointment). There’s a beautiful lukewarm raised pool with several hydrotherapy areas, not hot but relaxing. Got a little chilled and step into the hammam to … the unhealthy odor of feet and sweat and mold. We’ve been in hammams all over the world, even public ones in Istanbul, and they havent been this odiferous.

No worries. The beds have fab linens and are so comfortable. We enjoyed the city of Madrid immensely and went for our first nights sleep. Thump-thump. Thump-thump. All night long this distinct rumble was heard from our second floor room. Stuck in earplugs and slept like a rock. Next afternoon, we were enjoying a drink in the lobby and a tired couple was checking in. In the background I could hear a familiar spiel…. “Your rooms not ready, however we have an upgraded room with a palace view. and spa/hammam access for 50€ more…”. I hunted down my original reservation, and sure enough, in small print it DID say spa access was included in the original price we booked.

Long story- I did show the reservation to the manager and was not charged the additional fees. But buyer beware. Probably wouldn’t stay here again,
