Terrific rooms (high floor is worth it), lovely comfortable bed, & location can't be beat. I also found the staff to be friendly and responsive. One glaring exception: the mandatory junk 'amenity' fee that gets charged at 25$ per day -- the 'benefits' this fee gets you are comically useless (20% off dry cleaning! bottles of water you never actually get!) but, given that such junk fees are becoming a lamentably standard practice for even higher-end hotels, at the very least this fee should be levied as part of the room charge/room base rate. This hotel does NOT do that, and instead classifies this mandatory daily fee along with other personal expenses like in-room dining. For those of us traveling on business, with the room going on a separate business account from personal expenses, this is a real hassle. If you are going to keep the fee mandatory, then at the very least recognise that it's part of the base rate for the room itself, and NOT a surplus personal charge one can **opt out of**. Also: how does this amenity fee not inevitably create conflict either at check in or check out? How is this worth it from a customer service point of view rather than simply RAISING the advertised room rates slightly...

Location was great, and the room was very nice. However, the service left a lot to be desired.

First, there was no attendant at the valet stand, and parking/navigation was somewhat confusing. Then, we had to wait a substantial amount when checking in. Now, I'll admit that it was fairly late at night (around 11 pm), but it was still very slow. The agent was nice enough, but unfortunately misinformed. He told me that because I booked my stay using my IGH Rewards, I was not eligible for any benefits. This is not the case (as you will find when you review IHG's terms). This meant that I did not receive any welcome amenities, was not considered for an upgrade, etc. He did grant me the late 2 pm checkout (which is weird, if he didn't think I was eligible for benefits). This was somewhat amended the next morning, when at checkout I inquired about this, and the staff member retroactively gave me bonus points (600 points) as my welcome amenity (which I would have definitely preferred the beverage credit/voucher since 600 points is literally nothing).

Anyways, the room was nice enough and the hotel is quite decent. The slowness of the check-in process as well as the poor training of the check-in agent, dings a star here, however.

There's a sweet liar at concierge desk and tells you there's no luggage storage services. His job is to turn down everybody by most Canadian way possible. What a shame.

Just don't look at him if you need a luggage storage. Go directly to the bell desk.

I confirmed with the staff at Bell Desk, but it seems they don't offer a luggage storage service. Since the location is good, I would like to use it when I come to Toronto again someday.

Long story short - amazing. Everything about our stay was impeccable… the room was gorgeous, quite modern and spacious with an amazing view, very nice bathroom.
The bathroom products (shampoo/conditioner/wash/lotion) smelt/felt amazing. The room was equipped with perfect amenities from a lit vanity mirror in the bathroom to the complimentary abundance of coffee and tea. The bed was amazing and so comfortable. I visited the spa every day and Mimoza, who works there, is amazing, she went out of her way to make sure I was having a great experience. The saltwater hot tub and steam room are so nice, the spa area in general is just serenity inducing. The bar at Azure, the resto/bar within the hotel had amazing drinks and great customer service. The housekeeping staff was incredibly kind and caring. Concierge was also very helpful. The location of the hotel is awesome, in the heart of downtown next to as many attractions as you could think of… there’s a few near nice green spaces/parks + it’s close the water which I appreciated…coffee shops etc????????‍♀️????????‍♀️great for exploring the city.
