JUDD HOTEL

Writing as someone costumery with the Scandinavian standards of living.
The receptionist seemed as though he knew as from a previous life time as his high school bullies hence gave as the reception anyone would give his bully.
The room. Small n compact and so is the bathroom.
Facilities. Double bed is 120cm wide and 190 in length. Clean and comfortable otherwise.
Atmosphere. Definitely not a hotel atmosphere but more like a hostel/ vandrarehem
Breakfast: Any middle class swede home has better breakfast anyday in the week
Location: central
Staff in general terms: nothing remarkable to say.
Disability function or if you are over 190cm tall or for that matter just overly fat: choose same other place for your own sake. Everything here is compact and small.
I was allocated two twin beds in LG (below pavement level but still with window). Not as I requested but I was somehow prepared for the possibility.
Overall the room is not too small for my bags. The condition of the room relatively clean and neat. The carpet and wall painting may be a little aged. In the bathroom, water is warm and strong enough. Towels are white and not too worn comparing with some hotel gyms. Hairdryer is provided. Heating is sufficient.
Regarding noise level, the street is quiet at night. Steps can be heard but it’s common in all old houses and not too bad. Luckily the guests this time are all quite considerate of others. I didn’t even notice anything loud in front of the breakfast room, although the wafting aroma of food does made waking up on time easier.
The young gentleman at the reception is pleasant and helpful and handles some other guests’ requests well. The staff are all quite nice.
Breakfast (0730-0930) is decent, with English choices and cereals. The biggest surprise is that the plates are warmed— not followed by many so-called fine restaurants! From my eavesdropping, takeaways can be possible for early departures with 24-hr notice. The dining room is not very big, but with the efficient staff, seats are always available. The cherished coffee machine always has a line on the other hand.
I was a little worried before my stay to be honest. There are many small hotels on this street and they all have mixed and even polarized reviews. I’m not sure whether this would be the best one, but I think I bet we’ll.
