LANGHUS HORSE FARM

Our party of 4 plus 2 guides had a wonderful 2 hour ride, this region is stunning and the views were fantastic. We had a tutorial at the beginning to get to know and learn how to ride our horses, very useful as 2 of us were novices. Although the weather wasn’t great, our guides, Hannah and Naima were so cheerful, encouraging and chatted with us all the way. Their love for the horses was clear to see and the horses themselves are amazing, solid and sure footed and we felt very safe on them. I was a little nervous at the river crossing but they just crossed with ease. The hot chocolate at the end of the ride was very welcome too!

Fantastic place for horse riding in Iceland. My husband (no riding experience) and I (experienced rider & horse owner) had booked the Viking ride as a private tour. We both enjoyed the ride very much. The guides were very friendly and knowledgeable and were always making sure that everybody is fine and feeling safe. Groups are accompanied by 2 guides and safety is taken very seriously here. Even as a beginner you can feel very safe here! The horses are great, reliable and know their job. I was also very happy to see that the horse's welfare is a top priority here. They all looked healthy & were motivated. They are only used for 1 tour per day and get time off. I also very much recommend the waffle lunch and hot mineral bath after the ride. We enjoyed our time with the horses and at the farm very much. And if you are thinking about buying an Icelandic sheep skin rug as a souvenir: They have beautiful local sheep skin rugs in amazing colors for sale :-)

Lovely horses and excellent guides. We were lucky to have great weather and it was an excellent experience. They also served tasty waffles for our lunch! Highly recommended!
