A beautiful little hotel in a quiet area. Very friendly and good service. Can absolutely recommend this hotel and will definitely book it again next time ????????????

Where do I begin with how wonderful this hotel is. From the moment I checked in, the staff have been extremely welcoming and hospitable. A special mention to Nellie and Thomas who went above and beyond to ensure my stay was well accommodated for. I had booked a junior suite with a balcony and I couldn’t have been happier. The room was spacious, clean and extremely comfortable and the balcony was a welcome treat, allowing me to have my meals whilst taking in the fresh air and amazing Greek sun. Rooms were cleaned daily with all bathroom amenities replenished. The location of this hotel is perfect, in the upscale Kolonaki area surrounded by amazing restaurants and bars and only a short walk/uber ride away from all of the major tourist attractions. The highlight of my stay has definitely been the level of service I received from the staff at this hotel, their hospitality has been exemplary, exceeding even some 5* hotels I’ve stayed at. Definitely looking forward to staying again at the Periscope Hotel Kolonaki and would wholeheartedly recommend this hotel to anybody visiting Athens.

My stay at the Periscope hotel in Athens, Greece was an absolute delight! From the moment I stepped foot into the lobby, I was enveloped in an atmosphere of warmth and hospitality, thanks to the incredible staff.

Nelli's welcoming presence and attentive energy made me feel instantly at ease. Her genuine care for guests was felt in every interaction, and her personalized attention made me feel like a valued member of the Periscope family.

Even though I'm not usually a coffee drinker, I couldn't resist trying Anastasia's famed Fredo coffee. And wow, was I in for a treat! Anastasia's expertise and passion for coffee-making were evident in every sip, and I found myself indulging in multiple cups throughout my stay.

I also want to commend Thanos for his remarkable ability to handle any situation with grace and professionalism. His calm demeanor and quick thinking were instrumental in ensuring that all guests felt safe and comfortable throughout their stay.

Overall, the Periscope hotel exceeded all my expectations, thanks to the exceptional team who goes above and beyond to create a truly memorable experience. I can't wait to return and bask once again in the unparalleled hospitality of this extraordinary establishment.

What a terrible experience here. First time in Athens Greece and I booked a week long stay here. I booked two rooms the first night for a friend that ended up not making it and they refused to work with me on canceling the other room so I paid for a room I didn’t even use and they had the audacity to ask me why I wanted a key card for the other room if I wasn’t going to use it. Because I paid for it…

If you like trash bologna sandwiches, rude receptionist, paying for your stay in full upfront, refusal of upgrades and getting told no a late checkout, this is the hotel for you.

Superb staff, very polite and welcoming especially at reception. Amazing location and in the heart of all amenities and great restaurants and bars. Rooms very clean with good space and open bar always welcome. Excellent value for money too

Very nice hotel. As a Bonvoy Premium Elite I was upgraded to a suite, with a great balcony.

The service of the reception team was so professional and efficient, always willing to help with dining, tourism and shopping advice for the area and for Athens in general.

The continental breakfast is rich and with a great variety. The all day complimentary snack and drink bar is a nice perk, it is always fun to return to the hotel and drink a soft drink and coffee before going back to your room.

The location in a local upscale neighbourhood is a nice change fro. staying in the touristy areas. The neighbourhood has infinite dining g and drinking options, including some of the hottest places in town.

I visit Athens on a yearly basis and would definitely stay there on my next visit.

Standard rooms are small but rest is larger clean and new. Hotels location is perfect.

Hallo, die Lage des Hotels ist sehr gut. Die Zimmer aber sehr klein. Leider hat man beim Einbau der Fenster Geld gespart und keine schallisolierten Fenster eingebaut. Man hört jedes Auto, Moped, bellenden Hund. Die elektrischen Rollos sind nervig, weil man die Taste gedrückt halten und die ganze Zeit da stehen muss, bis das Rollo unten oder oben ist. Die Betten sind bequem, Zimmer sauber. Die Mitarbeiter sind sehr freundlich. Für das, was man bekommt müsste das Zimmer eigentlich 100-120 Eur die Nacht kosten in der Off Season. Wegen der Lage 50 Eur Kolonaki- Zuschlag. Ein Kommentar noch zum Parken. Kostet 25 Eur pro 24 Std im nahegelegenen Parkhaus. Ich persönlich werde das Hotel nicht nochmal buchen.

I loved this hotel. There are features in this hotel I've either never seen before in other hotels or are treats available at only few hotels. The snacks they offer nearly all day are really useful in a pinch when you're trying to wait until dinner to eat - organic crisps, fruit, water, cokes (diet and sugar), fresh cakes - everything is selected with care. The rooms are extremely comfortable - several pillows on the bed and the linens are cushy and comfy. The tv is made to be very easy to watch from the bed with several channels, although for Americans you'll have to choose from BBC, CNN or Al Jazeera - no entertainment television. Electronics shades and shutters on the windows allow for just the amount of sunlight and privacy you desire. There's a tablet for streaming that I didn't find very useful because it didn't have the basic US streaming channels for adults but it's a nice offering. Nice bath products and a nice sized shower. The bathroom is quite large for that region. They even have a scale so you can track your weight while you're enjoying the amazing food available and the beautiful indoor/outdoor cafes and restaurants in the area. Kolonaki is just the most beautiful neighborhood in Athens - lovely to just walk around and actually quite nice shopping. Delis and places to buy fruit or cakes if you'd like, and just a half block from one of the best breakfast cafes in Athens: Queen Bee. I loved this hotel and am going to tell all of my friends to stay there. p.s. Anastasia goes out of her way to make everyone feel welcome and attended to. She was wonderful!

Great location! Nice and quaint. We stayed here for one evening after a cruise the night before we went to the airport. (Uber was 42€ from this location) The snacks, coffee and water were a nice treat. Best ceiling ever in any hotel room I've ever been in.

Wir waren 5 Nächte im Periscope Hotel um Athen zu erkunden.
Zwar liegt es nicht im Quartier Plaka, dafür ist es hier wesentlich ruhiger und weniger touristisch. In der Nähe hat es viele, kleine, typische Restaurants, in welchen primär die lokalen Leute essen. Zudem ist der Hügel Lykabettus gleich oberhalb vom Hotel und kann innerhalb von 15 Minuten erklommen werden. Dies lohnt sich zumindest 2x, einmal für den Sonnenaufgang und dann wieder für den Sonnenuntergang (plus um die Akropolis und die Stadt in der Nacht zu bewundern).
Die Metrostation Evangelismos erreicht man innerhalb von knapp 10 Minuten, also kann man gut mit der Metro zu allen interessanten Orten fahren.
Die Hotelzimmer sind sehr schön gemacht, modern und sauber. Wir hatten eine Junior-Suite, die zwar nicht sehr gross war, aber mehr als ausreichend.
Das Frühstück ist ok, aber nicht wirklich umwerfend. Zudem ist es jeden Tag das gleiche. Aber mehr braucht man eigentlich nicht.
Dafür gibt es den ganzen Tag gratis Snacks, Wasser, Softdrinks, Tee und Kaffee (Nespresso). Dies ist sehr grosszügig.
Alle vom Personal waren sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.
Alles in allem kann man das Hotel gut weiter empfehlen.

Great hotel in Kolonaki. 1-block from main strip and 10 minute walk to shopping districts around Syntagma Square.

Rooms were comfortable, with modern iPad to communicate requests with the hotel. Bed was comfortable (we were able to order foam core pillows for better support). Bathroom was spacious, shower was modern, temperature and water pressure great.

Breakfast spread was nice. And they had snacks laid out you could grab throughout the day.

No gym on site but they did have one at their sister properly, NEW hotel, which was about a 15 min walk past Syntagma square. That is the nicer hotel - gym was in the basement but had all the essentials. (Treadmill. Weights, machines)

Front desk was super friendly and communicative - gave us nice recommendations. Would stay here again next time - pretty great value for 200 euros per night.

Lovely, small hotel in the Kolonaki area of ​​Athens with kind and friendly staff

We stayed at Periscope a couple of nights during our stay here at Athens. Nelli the front desk associate is AMAZING..She always greeted us with the biggest smile and surely made us feel warm and welcomed. She helped us and provide sooo many good details about places to visit, how to go, restaurant suggestions.. She definitely is one of the sweetest person we have ever met.
