I think staff should be able to recognize the dishes they serve. :) Situation: We asked what was the fish of the day, they said it’s dorade. When we got it, it was obviously not dorade, I asked immediately if that was really dorade, they said yes. Later I asked again saying that it cannot be (I was quite intrigued), and they checked and apologized saying that it was in fact thon rouge what they brought (of course). So basically even if you order something they might bring something else, not what you wanted, they try to tell you it is what you ordered (when it’s not), and in the end you pay for it. That was very annoying. The thon rouge was not bad (although I had better, and better looking in Luxembourg for example), but since we ordered something else (to give to the kids; as they can’t eat raw fish) we were quite disappointed. Rest of the food (salade niçoise, meat balls with tomato sauce, potatoes, vegetables, huîtres, kids menu with some steak and McDonalds-like fries) was not bad, but overall mediocre and not worth the price, in my opinion (75 Eur bill), and portions very small. Huîtres: I had better ones in several places in Normandy, but that might also be a matter of taste. Also, we ordered a kids menu, if I’m not mistaken it was supposed to come with icecream, they did not bring the icecream or even mention it. We were quite disappointed as we had a different culinary and service experience in Normandy a few months ago, with very similar dishes. Chill location on the beach, pleasant atmosphere. Glasses, cutlery etc very clean. Staff could smile more. Thank you!
